Welcome to Atlanta where the players play… Still though, I love SFOG as my home park. It can be hit or miss with the ride operations but I always have a great time when I go and now that GASM got a retrack, there isn’t a bad coaster in the park (except maybe Daredevil Dive). Glad you guys came here to enjoy the park.
That was a fun ‘half’ day with y’all and yes, Monster Mansion is the best ride in the SF chain 🤣🤣 For real though, SFOG Management and Ops finally stepped up their game massively this season. Such a big improvement on the guest experience and done this early in the season is just awesome for everyone visiting SFOG
As this being my home park it has a lot to offer. It’s one of those hidden gems in the Six Flags chain. Good to see it getting back to it’s great days.
it was so cool to get to see yall at the park that day. I'm so happy sfog is really making efforts to improve the guest experience, just the small things they've done are making such a huge difference and I hope they keep the good changes coming
Good to hear they're making improvements-- last year I went like 5 times and they didn't always impress. Rides shut down, food never opened, staff doesn't care, etc. This park is decently nice and has a lot of potential to be amazing. The little things are what could be improved for an overall amazing experience-- they already have the lineup! Batman, Twisted Cyclone, and Goliath are all awesome. I prefer front on Goliath-- it's the only really smooth row. I agree with Dahlonega Mine Train-- it's fun because it's rough! Mindbender is fun, but not what it used to be. I wouldn't know, but I can tell from other's experiences. It's not just the shorter trains, but the harsh trim after the first loop. Loops are still great though! I also like standups and Vortex at Carowinds isn't nearly as bad as everyone says. Finally, the one bad ride would probably be Scream Machine, if they could retrack it, turn OFF the trim after the first drop, and bring back the PTC trains PLEASE then it could be amazing! Here's to improvements at SFOG in the near future (and a launch coaster)!
@@darrelleaster5381 Yeah but I heard they're only doing the ending. I hate to break it to them, but these occasional partial retracks are not what we need. We need a full retrack for this crazy rough ride! (and get rid of the Cyclone trains please)
Actually while they are doing the ending, it’s getting a full retrack. The project started in 2021, and it should be finished sometime this summer. It was on the news a few months ago.
SFOG is easily one of the better parks. Best Stand Up, Best Batman, the first and Best Superman flight coaster, Goliath is one of the best Hypers. Twisted Cyclone is a fun but short RMC. Mindbender is nerfed now so that's a bummer. Still needs a launch coaster and a giga would be nice.
I disagree with the best Batman statement, but agree with the rest. SF Great Adventure has much better theming for Batman and imo the ride is smoother and more forceful there.
Six Flags Over Georgia is an underrated park in the chain, especially given it's size, mountain/hilly center, and just a solid collection of kind of the best of many things. Not saying "Mindbender" is the greatest Shwarzkophf but it's gotta be a higher rank, Goliath (the B&M hyper) is an amazing B&M Hyper. Dare Devil Dive is even undervalued. Blue Hawk is still treated like it's Ninja at SF St. Louis which makes no sense given how much better it is than even most operating arrows or vekomas (in the US at least). The park has got to do something with Georgia Scorcher though, it's getting worse while they retrack a underrated (but not maintained right, they honestly shouldn't have been between two major coasters if it wasn't in the budget to have to waited, even no covid I doubt other than being done a year ago if it would've made much difference, the replacement trains showed being out of touch as it is). I LOVE that they have been doing solid refurbishment work, not something you see much in the chain nor worthy for some of the older but classic coasters. Seriously need floorless Georgia Scorcher and a new coaster too, anything from a RMC raptor (hopefully custom or even the unknown pre-design, a Stunt Pilot clone would be ok but I think the park deserves better capacity levels like Jersey Devil) to something like West Coast Racers. I think with better operations it might be pushed above a "mid-level" in the future, and how people see it. P.S. Yes I know some other SF parks have had reburbishment projects b4 SF Over Georgia even really started trying to do so much after "Twisted Cyclone" and SFMM was making new areas feel new again and more, but compare either and what is even next, SF Great Adventure retheming back to Medusa? B&M's first "floorless" was/is a whippy but mostly smooth B&M of nice size, inversions, etc.-I like what they have done but unless it's a total restoration of El Toro (like Heide Park with Colossus) or ditching Green lantern for something far superior (I might even enjoy if it had sit down like Hulk/Kumba/etc.).
This new style of park/coaster review in a direct and post ride format was super interesting and honestly my favorite iteration of your videos yet. Been a fan for years now. Keep up the great work guys!
It makes me so happy to see y'all had a better trip this year than the past few years :) As a park employee there, the kind words about our improvements at the end mean so much!

Yaaayyyyy!!! My home park! Thanks for showing love to The Batman! Probably one of my favorite coasters of all time! Its an old faithful for sure…… ESPECIALLY in the backseat! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ill never forget the park was closing and they let us ride Goliath 3 times in a row. This was way before i was a coaster enthusiast and i never took it for granted
Nice vlog! With this being my home park, I know how terrible the food service can be at some times! But at least this time you had a good time! Also, congrats on 200k!
The original Mindbender rode so much better than the current one. The longer trains honestly made the ride, you'd get legitimate Schwarzkopf airtime with the longer trains. If they added 1 or 2 more cars to the train, it'd be one of the best Schwarzkopf coasters still operating
it’s so exciting to see you guys love my home park so much!! i feel like sfog gets a bad rap, but i love it so much. i’m so excited to go soon, and i’m definitely looking forward to operations being improved! thanks so much for this vid :)
Goliath is my absolute favorite B&M hyper coaster unlike the others it actually has intensity! That helix is awesome and the air time hills near the end provide great flojector airtime. It's what Nitro should have been
where the heck was the parking lot yAll were in?? i legit drove around for half an hour trying to find the parking lot bc there were no signs and ended up next to twisted cyclone. i personally was not impressed with the park or the rides (august 2022) and there were some major safety concerns, but granted i was coming from bgtb the day before so the bar was super high XD
I have waited 4hr:30 min for Batman it’s opening year on a Friday. I have rode two B&M inverts and I felt this one was most intense. The other was universal dragon challenge that’s no been torn down. It’s the same distance for me to get to Dollywood or Six Flags over GA but I have a 3yr old so Dollywood it is.
This is my second favorite six flags park. I've been to SFMM SFGA and SFGAm(to be fair my sister is under 50 inches so we couldn't ride most of the rides)
This is my home park and I absolutely love Goliath and Twisted, but, Cedar Fair ruined me (specifically Cedar pt in 2019 and Carowinds), and I'm sure Tampa and Orlando will ruin it even further this summer.
Dang I would have liked to hear the reaction to blue hawk. Because I think the reviews y’all made after each coaster were spot on. Sad about mindbender’s downgrade , hopefully not the case with blue hawk.
I actually had Goliath as my favorite B&M hyper until I rode Diamandback last week 😎🤙 I’m so glad y’all gave love to Monster Mansion. I was so surprised that type of ride was done that well at Six Flags park, made me happy because I also love Disney dark rides and this one could definitely match those in some respects. Twisted Cyclone is a super underrated RMC. Really fun layout with solid airtime, I always love a downhill barrel roll type inversion.
With the color scheme batman has on it along with the one at six flags magic mountain I kind of which they would retheme it to night wing still giving the batman era but a whole new name.
Safe to say this park has one of the best 1-2 punch in the country. Goliath has excellent floater, while Twisted Cyclone even though its short, provides the ejector. Hard to determine between which is better for me.
I always wonder why the signs warning that something is a roller coaster specify that it is "a roller coaster type ride". I guess they're trying to keep people from thinking it's a metaphor?
I might have a problem, but Dahlonega Mine Train is the worst roller coaster I've ever ridden. I don't think I can deal with tame roughness. The best part of the ride was getting misted by the log flume, but that's about it
Yeah, tbh, Mindbender was severely neutered after the refurbishment. Before it was easily Top 3 in the park for me, but now it's probably number 6 or 7.
Mindbender was a lot better originally, but since this is my home park I’ve been there a lot this season and it looks like that trims weren’t going as hard when y’all were there. Usually it’s pretty slow
SFOG is my second home park (Along with Carowinds) and it really is underrated. You all have to check out GASM when they run it backwards. It's far better. Goliath is my favorite B&M Hyper as well. Great airtime hills, ejector airtime, a crazy intense helix, you come screaming into the brake run out of your seat when the brakes slam on. Why did they nerf Mindbender? That was my second favorite ride at SFOG until they installed Twisted Cyclone. So sad.
I always stay at the hotel literally 500 yards away from the front entrance. I've only actually used SFOG's parking lot once in like 10 visits hahah. They fuckin rent out their parking lot though and legit will sell your parking space as a hotel guest. It's absurd but hasn't happened to me yet. Saw one guy throwing a fit inside though "I go to get some food and come back to my hotel and you've sold my parking spot out from under me and every single other one in the lot!?!? WTF?" hahaha I love Monster Mansion. My boat derailed last time I was on it though. Parents in back and just me in front and I was lounging/leaning sideways and around one of turns the right front wheel popped up over guard rails and jammed. I was able to rock it out though.
@@josephhenley9327 You're right. I didn't mean de-rail, de-rail. Just word that came to mind. The wheel popped up over the side guide rail and the wheel grabbed it. We were at a good 20 degree angle or so. That's why they generally really care about weight placement. That guy shouldn't have let my parents sit in the back and me up front. Should have been reversed. Because the front being lower allows wheels on side of flume to ride lower in water. Main reason it did it though is I was leaning to the left side of the boat and sitting on the more left side of the boat. So going into a right turn the front right wheel was riding high and rode up the guide rail till it was on top and jammed us. I was able to get it free fairly easy though without getting out of the boat or anything (obviously) Found it interesting that was even possible
Mindbender is nowhere near as good IMO. The older trains and lack of trims really made it fun. Now it just doesn't ride the same. 90% of the time the trims at the end before the final loop will hold the train to a complete stop.
I noticed that they took the advertisement off the Georgia scorcher trains. They look so much better!!

They really have turned it around at SFOG. It went through a rough patch for a few years but I’m glad to see it going back to its glory days
Except for Mindbender. They ruined that ride for me.
Riddler's Revenge is the KING of stand-ups! it's a Stand-up Kumba !!!!
As this being my home park it has a lot to offer. It’s one of those hidden gems in the Six Flags chain. Good to see it getting back to it’s great days.
Best Batman clone and best B&M hyper!!! SFOG is underrated
Having the best Batman clone ( I don’t even agree with that) is a low standard
it was so cool to get to see yall at the park that day. I'm so happy sfog is really making efforts to improve the guest experience, just the small things they've done are making such a huge difference and I hope they keep the good changes coming
