most nihilist I have spoken to live their lives much more like a hedonist. Just maximazing their own pleasure. I think a lot of people use nihilism to excuse their egoist ways where they only live to feel more plesure.
Yes, I am an existentialist nihilist. Nothing matters in the end and no purpose. As the Romans said, “eat, drink and be happy, for tomorrow you die”. I don’t consider suicide because I enjoy my coffee in the morning.
@@opensocietyenjoyer lazy ? We have destroyed this planet beyond repair. We are facing the end of our civilization. I will be dead in 20 years or less, so I will not be around when it happens. Nothingness ensues. To what purpose do we hold onto illusions of a future enlightened society ? Our lives are meaningless, and even if we try to create a purpose for our self….it is meaningless to anyone else.
There are different kinds of real and different degrees of different kinds . Everything is real but . Some things are more real . Some things are more true . Truth is about alignment of one thing with another . May all appropriate parts of "self" align appropriately with what the words " the greatest balance of all that is truly good" point towards . Ps there is more than one concept of belief .

There are levels of belief.
There are different combinations of different levels of different kinds of beliefs .
Nihilism has no levels. It is an all or nothing ideology. Which is why nearly all nihilists are actually just closeted existentialists/absurdists.

Some meaning seems to have more longevity .
There are different kinds of real and different degrees of different kinds .
Everything is real but .
