    I was there too got transferred from Ferguson. The Bt system was going out the cannery and soap factory was booming

    What about all the 700 dead ex-slaves found buried in mass graves ages 14-70 Talk about the convict leasing system that existed there after the 13th Amendment which didn't mean a damn thing to Texas. Discuss the horrors that occured there and that America needs to be reminded of.

      Denise found after the 13th admendent died before btw there was a clause abolishing slavery it abolished slavery unless incarcerated so they started the drug to lock up ppl of color

    That makes a lot of sense. You get rid of one business to start another one???? All those people lost their job for a new business to maybe hire like 1/4 of the amount into it?? So for every 100 people left go, the new business might have jobs for 10 or 20.

    I spent time at Sugarland prison ....I remember the cubicles....and we flat-weeded or butts off and the co's on horses and the water moccassins

      I did a few months on Jester 2 (now the Vance Unit). It is ancient as well.

    It's good to see a prison close for good 👍, it shows all criminals have left the state of Texas for better opportunities to better them selves in life
