For the record , this is a martial art called "Angam Pora" which is native to Sri Lanka and believed to be formed about nearly 3000 years ago during the period of King Ravana and it was carried through generations and techniques were used by the locals in their resistance against the early colonial occupants of the island's coastal areas.The British, who occupied the whole island by 1815 (and who had full control of it by 1818) issued a gazette banning the practice in 1817 with harsh punishments for flouters, paving the way to its decline, It's OK if you don't know this much about this, and keep in mind if you don't know something that's where you should end your conversations (shitty talks) about it.

British introduced agricultural productions ( Tea, rubber, coffee..etc) which are one of the main source of incomes to Srilanka now. They have introduced constitutionlised government where your people engaged in useless wrong beliefs. Even the education also introduced by the British. Your so called Ceylonese didn't have done anything useful rather than just developing little of these
