I just received my Dyad Pro today, after initially buying a Tenico S5 Extreme last week. I cleaned some significant floor area with the Tenico late last week, but found myself feeling nagged about better edge cleaning, multiple rollers & automatic drying after the auto-clean phase. Watching reviews is one thing, but sometimes you just have to buy several toys and test them for yourself to determine which is best for your needs, so that's what I did! As a test, I decided to re-mop the same floor areas with the Dyad Pro as I had with the Tenico. I live alone with a yellow lab and we don't use that part of the house much, so no reason for the floor to get dirtier in 3 days. I did this using warm water with NO detergent, just as with the Tenico. My intent was to see if the Dyad would be able to clean the same pre-cleaned floors even better (the floors looked VERY clean!). After 30 minutes, the results were in, with surprises! The dirty water tank had black water in it, but had only filled the tank about 1.5 inches. The fresh water was still 2/3 full, and the battery was at 75%! I then took the mop to the docking station & started a deep cleaning cycle. Once that was complete, I used my phone to initiate a fast-drying cycle. When the drying was about to complete, I removed the mop from the base, and felt the roller brushes, and the base, where the air comes out to dry the roller brushes. Ambient temp in my house was about 72F at the time. When I checked the roller brushes, they were very dry and felt a bit warm, as did the docking station, by the exit holes. I'm thinking Roborock doesn't want the element to get any warmer due to safety issues and mandatory certifications like Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Most retailers won't touch ANYTHING electrical that isn't UL-Listed, which would tank their sales in the US and Canada. So far I'm very happy with the cleaning. The heavier cleaning-head i belive helps make the cleaning brushes work better, and the edge-cleaning has made it so I'll only have to use a sponge in a few odd areas. I covered more area with the Dyad than the Tenico, and in less time with plenty of battery, water & dirty tank space to keep going!
This is the best review I've seen so far. You actually show how it picks up dried on foods, and your video angle shows the water left behind. You covered so much more than anyone else has. I didn't know about the warm air drying.

Hey buddy, just got my dyad pro in today. I ordered it after watching your review, and thought all the pros outweigh the con of not having heated drying. Well... I've used the unit to clean two rooms so far and have had it sitting on the silent dry for 3 hours now. While the rollers were not completely dry, I did notice something surprising. The dock was warm to the touch! I used a handheld infrared thermometer to check it out. It was about 90F at the rollers and around 100F further back toward the center of the base. My ambient air temp is 78F. So there's definitely some sort of heated drying going on here. I'm not sure if you just happened to get two defective docks, or if they sent you back the same unit you sent back. But I can say that I'm pleasantly surprised that it does use heat to dry, not a huge amount but it's something. I've bumped the silent dry timer up to 5hrs hopefully that's the sweet spot.
Thanks a lot for your comment. That’s a bit reassuring to know that yours does have somewhat heated drying (though perplexed as to how I could receive 2 defective units…that’s then another story about their quality control, if true). Did you clock the temperature while the Dyad was docked? Let me know where exactly you pointed your thermometer, I’ll try to replicate and see what I get. Btw-I did post this on Reddit asking owners to help out and verify if they’re getting heated drying or not-let’s see what we come up with. Out of curiosity, what country did you buy it in?
@@RawansReviews Purchased in the US. I removed the dyad from the dock and took the temps immediately after. I believe the heat is generated from a device inside the part of the dock that points upward, as it was hottest there.
You mean the line of holes on the 2nd part of the base? That’s the air channels I believe. If you look behind where you dock the Dyad, there’s a fan on the outside. In theory the heating element should be there, with the fan blowing air through the heating element and channeling it to base. But who knows. Thanks for the confirmation anyway. I’ll try to investigate further, see if anyone else can corroborate your experience (or mine), or maybe if I can get ahold of someone in Roborock to comment. Cheers!
@@RawansReviews the part of the dock where the fan is, although on the opposite side, is where I measured the hottest temp at around 100F. Yup, precisely. I hadn’t measured the temp at the fan, but that’s a good place to measure, you’re right. Will give that a shot but I don’t expect it to be much different. Enjoy your new Dyad!
Just ran across you channel today. Good and thorough video review. I agree it is warm air and it does take a lot longer than the H12 Pro to dry. On the upside it does dry them and it is fairly silent too.
I own the previous model and one big issue is the hairs and dirt that stays stocked inside the brushes compartment ,the ones the vacuum doesn't suck to the dirty water compartment......and that's the real big issue... too long of a job of cleaning it and must do it at least once a month (if you don't use it very often)..... Does he new model have the same issue(and mess)? Thanx.
Love the review. I just got one as a surprise birthday gift and love it. Thanks for being so diligent in the details. I live in a very humid climate so it's nice to at least know ahead of time I might need to remove the rollers and dry in sun to prevent mold growth. I love the vacuum and my only complaint is I have old kitchen cabinets that are so low that the Roborock can not get below the edge of my base cabinets. Everything else is perfect.
Glad you found the review helpful! Indeed the clearance on this is not great. They do have a new model that's due to release very soon. I do plan on reviewing it so if you're interested, make sure you're subscribed to get notified when I release that video!
just got this and i have to say its super easy to use. I have some shiny floors that leave grease marks, i added mr clean yes i know its not oro but it worked amazingly. the only downside is lots of junk gets stuck under rollers but its awesome overall. great review! its odd because i could feel warm air on my dryer
Thanks for your comment! And that's really interesting to know. I really thought (and hoped) I had a defective unit, but when the second one did not work either, I figured one can be a coincidence, but two's unlikely..If you have the chance, would greatly appreciate if you could help me figure this out. Best would be with a thermometer to see exactly what temp you're getting, but I totally get chances are you don't have a thermometer lying around. In that case, maybe simply touching the brush after some time drying, or putting your finger near the air outlet, and just confirm that indeed you feel hot air/a hot brush? Either way--thanks for watching and for leaving a comment!
@@RawansReviews well your right, i take it back. i tested it in a few ways and its absolutely just cool air. i bet the base does not have a heating element and its just a fan. wow thats a lawsuit waiting to happen. the s8 pro ultra you cant miss the hot air.
Sigh… I felt a shimmer of hope with your comment. But alas.. 😅 I really don’t understand how a company like Roborock can be blatantly lying about this feature so casually like this 🤷🏻♂️
Thank you very much for this detailed review, and for helping me understand my unit is not broken, it just doesn't dry the rollers by design (flaw). I generally like the machine, though the mop function doesn't work very well on my floors. But the damp sour smelly rollers on mine (even after six hours) are the bigger bummer.
I just want to add that my experience with the drying mimics JuiceStyles. I used an infrared thermometer and read around 85 to 98 degrees, depending where I pointed it. My rollers were dry in 3 hours with balanced mode and silent drying. I live in the high desert in CA, USA so it can be very dry here, 10% or less isn't uncommon. I am wondering if we have two problems going on here. Possibly a bad run of the heater elements and/or it's just not hot enough to overcome areas where the humidity is very high. When I did this test the humidity was 30% (high for us) and ambient temp was 78 degrees. I ran the tests 3 times. Maybe the question should be "do you live in a region that has very high humidity"?
What is the height measurement of the base. My kitchen cabinets are about 3 1/2 inches off the floor and I need to know if I can get this under my cabinets to clean the floor to the edge under the cabinets. Thanks
guess what Roborock has now updated the website from "real hot air " to "real air" here in australia. One positve they gave me a refund. I was pretty excited for this product but what a shame Roborock.
The worst piece of garbage I ever bought This crap worked fine one month and then stop working, by contact the manufacturer they said of clean it up and try again which obviously didn’t fix the issue. Then they asked to the item to be returned there has been ONE month without no news or updates. They should have the decency to send a brand new or give my money back, instead they will fix it and se d it back, which they didn’t yet. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!! I regret not buying it, it took more than a month to fix it and today my Roborock arrived with the roller wet and smelly (I don't know if it's working) but what a rubbish service. (If you want advice, don't buy this product)
25 watts means it does have a heating element, so they are not exactly wrong. A fan for that much airflow is like 3-4 watts of power, so they are doing some heating with that power, what was your ambient air temp?
Yes, that makes sense. In a subsequent comparison video I did, I did open up the base and confirm there is indeed a heating element (check ua-cam.com/video/gdp2dQhCM_8/v-deo.html). My ambient temp was about 1-2 degrees lower.
Interesting point. On roborock web site in my country stands that : -Roborock Dyad Pro Combo dry with hot air with a temperature of 50 degrees . -And Roborock Dyad Pro dry at a room temperature of +5 degrees. Now, aren't they the same machines, only the Combo has additional brushes ? I really like those accessories, especially the one for cleaning bed mites. And that's why I wanted to buy Dyad and not the new Flexi Pro. I'm a little disappointed now.
I believe they fixed the issue with the Combo model. And it seems after my review was out, they later changed the wording on some of their local websites to remove the mention of "hot air". That wording though was definitely initially there, and so was it on the box, as I showed. But at any rate I can't confirm for certain that the Combo version now has hot air cleaning, but I heard that they might have fixed that. If your'e in the market, this video might also be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/XCC5iJhuPoA/v-deo.html
@@RawansReviews Thanks for the fast reply. I see that the Roborock A30 Pro has been released in China, which is said to be a combination of Flexi Pro and Combo. Do you have an opinion about it? Is it worth waiting for?
Glad you liked it. Check out my recent reviews of the Flexi Pro (ua-cam.com/video/q5N_L3CxTSY/v-deo.html) and Flexi Pro vs Lite (ua-cam.com/video/_ggJ4DODm6A/v-deo.html), you might find them useful.
Can anyone help with how effective it is for pet hair . Ive 4 pets and live in a 2 bedroom flat. I have to unblock the roller and suction point from fur half way through and before the self vleaning cycle or it just spews dirty water everywhere its a nigntmare
I have bad problema with my machine I’ve had this product for a few months and more recently, even after changing the filters and the rollers and cleaning multiple accessories continuously notice that my machine smells terribly constantly. Nothing i have tried has fixed and will probably end up throwing it away
@@RawansReviewswhen I finish to clean the floor , I put self clean twice and the self clean don’t dry well The other thing I’m frustrated is I take off the roller and I wash and dry for take of the bad smile and now the machine don’t want work and she said something about the heard roller and I don’t understand clear what she said 😢
Same here from Thailand! For my unit, after one fast drying cycle and another 6-hour normal drying cycle, the rollers were still damp, which is a big disappointment to me. 😢😢😢
It's not directly user serviceable. You might find 3rd party batteries, and if you're a comfortable DIYer, you might be able to replace it yourself. But I check with the dealer what options they have.
Warning: if you use the "floor drying mode" a lot like I do you might fry the motor... mine stopped working after 2 months and I'm pretty sure it's because of water ending up in the motor itself...I'll be RMAing my unit It was a great product until it simply died on me...
Have you tried pressing on it with your foot and pulling back the handle towards you? The handle shouldn’t be in an upright (90 degree) angle but leaning backwards to turn on the machine.
@@RawansReviews yes I did:( even read the procedure and the max 60 degree angle ! The self clean and other things seem to work fine ! Thanks for the response ! Awesome vídeo review
Wow… that’s some very arrogant false advertising!! And the customer service just not replying… yikes. I heard Roborock customer service is awful (always get good third party extended warranties with them!), but that’s illegally bad. 😳😳 That’s as bad as my current experience with the Popur automatic self cleaning cat litter box customer service! SHADY and lying constantly. Now they won’t respond! So if you have a cat, do NOT get that litter box. Thank you for your review!! Really appreciate it! :) Looking forward to your comparison video! Did you get to try the new Tineco Floor One S7 Pro? Or the Dreametech M12? Those sound amazing also!
Thanks for reviewing, I need your help please I want to buy a new vacuum cleaner, and I am debating between this two: Roborock dyad pro, OR Tineco S7, reliability is very important to me, and also quality of cleaning, who cleans better and who is more reliable? (I had a roborock dyad u10 with lots of glitches and problems, so product reliability is important to me above all else), thank you very much.
Unfortunately I have not tested the S7 so I cannot give any recommendation there. I've had the Dyad Pro for about 6 months and haven't experienced any problems or glitches, if that's of any help.
I've never understood the need for a filter in the dirty water tank, I removed mine on the first dyad model just empty it in your toilet with all the water and debris at the same time
Well, depends on the size of the solids in your water. They can be bigger than some people are comfortable dumping down the toilet. But also depends where you live too. In some areas/countries, you can't even throw toilet paper down the toilet or you might clog it. So the filter could come in handy for some!
@@RawansReviews bigger than a dung ? 🤣 I wonder how you could vacuum something bigger with your cleaner as for it risking to clog it, if your toilet can handle a dung it can handle anything your cleaner will vacuum
Haha. Well, dungs disintegrate. But some things should not be flushed down a toilet. It’s not only about size ;) Google non-flushable items, you’d be surprised!
I have one of these from another company and really like it. They are pricey, but if you can get one, get one! Though... watch for that hot air, or not!
Thank you for the wonderful review! May I ask, can I put normal floor detergent into the small detergent dispenser? Instead of the “official” one that Roborock is selling?
Glad to hear it was of help! Officially brands usually recommend you only use their "official" detergent, I'd say that's mostly because they want you buying from them. Personally, I would say any detergent from any wet/dry vacuum brand should in theory have very little risk. A little more risk would be using any normal floor detergent. Could still work, but can't tell for sure it won't cause problems in the long run. If you go down that route though, I would try to use non-foaming detergent.
Product that works very well but, for example in Italy, there are no repair centers and if you are out of warranty you throw it away if you can't repair it. Shameful
Thank you for your review. I almost made my purchase, which is a bit of an investment. BC of the misrepresented the heating feature I will not be purchasing. Thanks again!
I'm happy I was of help. It's still a great machine, but it is indeed a big investment, so if this particular feature is important for someone, I'd rather they're aware upfront and decide what they want to do accordingly. Cheers!
Dude you went 2 hours on and on and on and on about drying. That also was not enough... you even harassed Roborock :) But nooo.... that is not enough either... There comes temp probes! It is a vacmop. You do your job, leave it in its cradle... next time you pick it up it is dry! The purpose is to stop mold growth. Same with my Smartmi VortexVave Robot as well. I disconnected those effing fan connectors :) After I am done, I clean the brushes myself and let good ol' sun do the rest for me! Thanks for the review, regardless!
Omg! Just when I thought that was it... There comes watt-a-meter! You are obsessed! Let the sun do it. No noise, no power consumption, done in 20 mins!
I'm not sure why you saw that as "harassing" Roborock, instead of me doing my due diligence and giving them the opportunity to comment before publicly saying anything inaccurate? As for the probes--well, would you also rather I simply rely on my subjective senses to say "it's not hot air!", or back that up with actual temperature measurements? I get your point in that you leave it in the cradle, next time you pick it up, it's dry (though I'd argue it's also fair not wanting to wait 5-6 hours for that)--but that's not the point. The point is when you advertise a feature, you can't blatantly lie about it. I would have had no issue if this was not explicitly advertised as "hot air" drying. For some people, the availability of hot air drying could be one of their decisive factors in choosing this wet/dry vac over others. Not everyone is blessed to live in an area with sun for air drying. Either way, my role here is to review a product. Part of that is being thorough in testing it, and making sure it lives up to the claims the company makes about it. In this case, Roborock, unfortunately, didn't. It's only fair that people watching my review know that. Then it's up to them to decide if this is important enough to change their purchase decision or not. Cheers!
@@RawansReviews It IS NOT AN IMPORTANT FEATURE IN A MOP! If anyone deems it important, they have a screw loose. If you need to pick it up in 5 hours, you can pick it up and do your job. It does not matter if it is dry or not, it will get wet when you run it anyway. Mold takes hold after a week. The whole purpose of air drying is not to have a wet brush sitting long periods of time to prevent mold and mildew growth. You don't need to have sun either. You can just leave it in front of the A/C, fan, radiator, or whatever is going on in your house and it would dry by itself overnight. "Harassing" was not meant literally! But you have my respects for dwelling on such a trvial matter for so freaking long!
Don’t worry about this person. You did a great review AND are both logical and kind! So don’t worry about the people who love to find fault, even if there isn’t any. ;) :)

just got this and i have to say its super easy to use.
But alas.. 😅 I really don’t understand how a company like Roborock can be blatantly lying about this feature so casually like this 🤷🏻♂️
@@mrpcakes hi again-may I ask what country you’ve bought this from? Trying to see if there’s any region/country correlation.
In Germany the humidity is about 55-65% 😢
What is the height measurement of the base.
That sounds like an admission of guilt. The US website still says "hot air". Very disappointed Roborock would do something like this...
True China style 😂
The worst piece of garbage I ever bought
This crap worked fine one month and then stop working, by contact the manufacturer they said of clean it up and try again which obviously didn’t fix the issue.
On roborock web site in my country stands that :
-Roborock Dyad Pro Combo dry with hot air with a temperature of 50 degrees .
Thank you for this review, I have been eying it for a while but now I'm reconsidering due to false advertisement.
Glad you liked it. Check out my recent reviews of the Flexi Pro (ua-cam.com/video/q5N_L3CxTSY/v-deo.html) and Flexi Pro vs Lite (ua-cam.com/video/_ggJ4DODm6A/v-deo.html), you might find them useful.
The fake hot air seemed to have been fixed with the combo version, love your channel btw
Thanks, appreciated! And yes I've heard that as well but unfortunately haven't had the chance to test it out myself.
In the comparison page on roborock's website it now states that the self drying temp for the dyad pro is room temp + 5°C.
Interesting--just saw that. That sounds more about right. Their product detail page still says "drying with real hot air" though.
can you use it on steps?
Very good review….for hard floors. How is it on rugs?
Not really meant for rugs. While it might work ok on small and thin rugs, I wouldn't particularly use it for anything more than that.
Can anyone help with how effective it is for pet hair . Ive 4 pets and live in a 2 bedroom flat. I have to unblock the roller and suction point from fur half way through and before the self vleaning cycle or it just spews dirty water everywhere its a nigntmare
Appreciate the very detailed video, very passionate about what you are doing and helpful for potential buyers. Amazing job! Kudos!!
Thanks for your comment! Glad my review was of help!
I have bad problema with my machine
I’ve had this product for a few months and more recently, even after changing the filters and the rollers and cleaning multiple accessories continuously notice that my machine smells terribly constantly. Nothing i have tried has fixed and will probably end up throwing it away
Are the rollers completely dry after the drying cycle? Usually the smell comes from moisture, mold..
@@RawansReviewswhen I finish to clean the floor , I put self clean twice and the self clean don’t dry well
The other thing I’m frustrated is I take off the roller and I wash and dry for take of the bad smile and now the machine don’t want work and she said something about the heard roller and I don’t understand clear what she said 😢
Same here from Thailand! For my unit, after one fast drying cycle and another 6-hour normal drying cycle, the rollers were still damp, which is a big disappointment to me. 😢😢😢
Thanks for that confirmation. Not sure what’s happening here.. some people have it working, some don’t. Not sure if it’s a region thing…
Can you review battery wet dry vac with Steam?
Hi how do you change the battery? Do I have to bring it to the distributor or I can just swap the battery? Thanks
It's not directly user serviceable. You might find 3rd party batteries, and if you're a comfortable DIYer, you might be able to replace it yourself. But I check with the dealer what options they have.
Thank you!@@RawansReviews
Currently on offer in the UK. 22/07/24. Amazon £199.
i don't know what happened to you but my dyad pro combo has hot air... after 2 hour you can feel that the rooler are warm and dry, not wet at all
It appears Roborock fixed this issue with later models. I know the Dyad Air has it fixed, thanks to your comment it seems the Combo as well.
Warning: if you use the "floor drying mode" a lot like I do you might fry the motor... mine stopped working after 2 months and I'm pretty sure it's because of water ending up in the motor itself...I'll be RMAing my unit
It was a great product until it simply died on me...
how did the rma went?
@@georgeknowseverything1269 the thing came back to life after I dried it (blow-dryer for 30 min , low heat), still working to this day
So good to know! Thank you!!❤
Can you clean carpets with this?
It’s not meant for carpets. You might get away on some types of carpets, but your carpets would be better of with a dedicated carpet cleaner.
I received a new unit but it keeps saying “unlock the cleaning head”. Anyone experienced this as well ?
Have you tried pressing on it with your foot and pulling back the handle towards you? The handle shouldn’t be in an upright (90 degree) angle but leaning backwards to turn on the machine.
@@RawansReviews yes I did:( even read the procedure and the max 60 degree angle ! The self clean and other things seem to work fine ! Thanks for the response ! Awesome vídeo review
Might need to get in touch with Roborock then. Thanks for watching!
Excellent review - I subscribed!
Do you have problem connecting app? I cannot connect roborock to app
I have no problem connecting to the app
don't connect via 5g, use only 2.4
"A few passes" to remove ketchup. Honey, more like 20 to 30! Who are you kidding 😂
Wow… that’s some very arrogant false advertising!! And the customer service just not replying… yikes. I heard Roborock customer service is awful (always get good third party extended warranties with them!), but that’s illegally bad. 😳😳
That’s as bad as my current experience with the Popur automatic self cleaning cat litter box customer service!
Thanks for your comment! The Tineco S7 looks like an awesome machine--unfortunately I have not had the opportunity to try that out..
Thanks for reviewing,
I need your help please
I want to buy a new vacuum cleaner,
and I am debating between this two:
Roborock dyad pro, OR Tineco S7,
reliability is very important to me, and also quality of cleaning,
who cleans better and who is more reliable?
(I had a roborock dyad u10 with lots of glitches and problems, so product reliability is important to me above all else),
thank you very much.
Unfortunately I have not tested the S7 so I cannot give any recommendation there. I've had the Dyad Pro for about 6 months and haven't experienced any problems or glitches, if that's of any help.
Awesome review! makes me wanna spill dirt to clean them up with one of those devices.
Thanks! It’s indeed a joy seeing it eat up big messes like that ;)
Dyan pro or Tineco S7?
Unfortunately haven't tried the S7 so can't comment on that
I've never understood the need for a filter in the dirty water tank, I removed mine on the first dyad model
just empty it in your toilet with all the water and debris at the same time
Well, depends on the size of the solids in your water. They can be bigger than some people are comfortable dumping down the toilet. But also depends where you live too. In some areas/countries, you can't even throw toilet paper down the toilet or you might clog it. So the filter could come in handy for some!
@@RawansReviews bigger than a dung ? 🤣 I wonder how you could vacuum something bigger with your cleaner
as for it risking to clog it, if your toilet can handle a dung it can handle anything your cleaner will vacuum
Haha. Well, dungs disintegrate. But some things should not be flushed down a toilet. It’s not only about size ;) Google non-flushable items, you’d be surprised!
@@miro6017 get lost
A filter is always best to have to dump solids in the trash. I’m getting rid of my Dreametech H12 Pro for this same reason.
Dyad pro or tineco s5pro?
Unfortunately haven't tested the Tineco so can't comment on that--sorry!
I have one of these from another company and really like it. They are pricey, but if you can get one, get one! Though... watch for that hot air, or not!
You just saved me from buying this. Thank you!
Shameful
Pretty rubbish of roborock to advertise it as hot drying and then burying their head in the sand. Great job on calling them out on it
Great review buddy!
Thanks, glad you found it helpful!
It is a fantastic product BUT i have had three, all replaced under warranty, now waiting for the fourth one.
Cheers!
Great review thanks.
Glad you found it helpful!

Dude you went 2 hours on and on and on and on about drying.
That also was not enough... you even harassed Roborock :)
But nooo.... that is not enough either...
So don’t worry about the people who love to find fault, even if there isn’t any. ;) :)
@@mandymorrison5039 I stated my arguments. Do you have anything to counter them or you will keep regurgitating same ol' bs that people find fault and all?
