Amazing. Pls give me tips how to take picture with blured background, like u did on the cat and flower. Its awesome. I tried but always fail. Can u tell me ur setting? Like iso
The trick is to have a large distance between foreground and background. If you shoot the cat when you you are standing, you can never achieve something like this. In such a case, the cat will be for example 5 meters away and the background 5.5 meters. That is no difference at all. You have to put the camera on the ground. In such a case, the cat will still be 5 meteres away but you will not have a grass on which it is lying in the background but there will be something maybe 100 meters away. 5 and 100 meters, that is the difference! Shoot from the object level if you want to have blurred background. You have to achieve really huge difference between the distance camera-object and camera-background. If these two distances are simiar, you will never achieve blurred background. It also tells you another trick. Go closer. Imagine 5 and 5.5 meters is not significant difference. But if you go closer (for example 3 meters closer), than 2 and 2.5 meters will be a bigger difference = more blurred background. On the other hand, if you go closer, you have to lower zoom and that lowers the blur. In total, there are several ways how to achieve blurred background but they are going against each other and you have to find a compromise: 1, Big difference between distances camera-object and camera-background (shoot from the object/ground level) 2, It is connected with the first one, the distance camera-object has to be as small as possible (go closer) 3, Larger zoom will increase the blur (but it goes against the point 2, if you go closer, you cannot use larger zoom) 4, Use lower F values (F3.5 is better than F5.6). On the other hand, if you zoom, you cannot use lower values, it goes against the point 3. As you can see, you really have to find a compromise between these points according to the particular scene you are shooting. There is no universal solution for all. Sometimes, lower zoom and really short focusing distance will work better than bigger zoom and larger focusing distance, sometimes it will be opposite. For example, bird, cat, butterfly, flowers (0:35-0:50) use long zoom and shooting from object level (even thoug it is from long distance with realtively high F number), the flower and insect shots (1:00-1:35) use realtively small zoom level but they also use lower F-number and very very close focusing distance which is again connected with the object level shooting (never shoot from the top if there is not big distance below the object)
You are right, you cannot set F number in this camera. Nevertheless, it is possible to do that with some compact cameras (to be honest, the apertures are usually already too bad, so the cameras are usually using the smallest F number almost all the times).
It has only three AF modes. 1) central AF point, 2) AF points automatically chosen by the camera, 3) AF tracking. If you want to use non-central AF point, you can not to do that. You have to use the central one (half-press the shutter), then recompose a press the shutter fully.
There is no one setting for all these images. Each one may have a different setting and because this camera basically does not allow you to set anything (it is very very limited), it is more about choosing the right zoom, composition and the luck for a nice light conditions.
Heyyy I was wondering with this camera if you can go out of focus on some parts, eg. With the background as I didn’t know whether you edited blurred out backgrounds in some of the pictures or not. Thank you!!
Everything is straight out of the camera, the images are cropped only. You have to know how to blur the background. It is already explained in this discussion, I think.
You can but the question is how well. The camera is quite slow which may limit the performance in street photography, so it definitelly will not be great for quick snapshots. Probably, it will be one of the worst. It can be used for situations when you are prepared for the image. But the question is if this is street photography. Portraits? You can take pictures of people but do not count with a blurred background much. It can be achieved (a sort of) when taking really detailed pictures with longer zoom (just head but no body,...).
For blurred portrait, you will need reasonable focal length (50mm+) which these cameras support, reasonably large sensor and large aperture. And that is the problem. 1/2.3-inch sensor in these cameras is brutally small and the aperture is so bad that you will have to zoom a lot in order to blur the background a little bit (www.digimanie.cz/recenze-canon-powershot-sx430-is-milovnik-prirody/6963/galerie/portret). Basically, you almost cannot buy a worse camera than these ultrazooms for portrait with blurred background. You should try at least 1.0-inch camera and if it has large aperture lens, it will be even better. As the worst option of these 1.0-inch cameras is Canon G9 X II with F2.0-4.9 but it is able to blur the background reasonably (www.digimanie.cz/recenze-canon-powershot-g9-x-mark-ii-kapesni-borec/6964/galerie/portret). Nevertheless, I would recommend one of the cameras with F1.8-2.8 (or 1.4-2.8 lenses) like Panasonic LX10/LX15, Sony RX100 III-VA, Canon G7X II if we should choose one of the cheaper one. I know, it is much more than SX430/H300 cost but I do not see the point of buying a camera which does not the thing for which it was bought.

There cannot be an answer for such a question. Do you need big zoom, great video, good macro, above average speed, fast sequential shooting, manual modes, viewfinder,...? What do you need? How can anybody answer your question when you have not specified what do you want, what is important for you? Almost every camera is good but it depends on the subjective requirements and you have not specified them. Cheap Dacia can be better car than Ferrari if you need place for 5 persons. To be honest, if you do not need big zoom or great macro, a smartphone camera could be still enough. You will save money and images will be mostly also fine.
Such a question cannot have an answer. What do you want it for, is zoom important for you? Video? Do you need macro capabilities? Do you want to play with small depth of field, do you want to learn the photography or just use the camera as a beginner and not to progress? Do you use a smartphone? How is a smartphone limiting you? What do you expect that this will bring you more than smartphone? Without such answers it is very difficult to answer.
I have not tested Nikon B500 yet but I think that Nikon will be better camera mainly because better sensor with lower resolution (lower noise, faster speed, burst shooting, Full HD video and so on)..

How is a smartphone limiting you? What do you expect that this will bring you more than smartphone? Without such answers it is very difficult to answer.
Hello, nice camera,i was thinking to buy one of this or what do you think about Nikon b 500?? Is almost the same cameras..corse,Nikon has 16 mpx,
I have not tested Nikon B500 yet but I think that Nikon will be better camera mainly because better sensor with lower resolution (lower noise, faster speed, burst shooting, Full HD video and so on)..
The canon sx 430 is actually better
What is the song it is beautiful
Topher Mohr and Alex Elena - Nadia's Theme
amazing place
Thank you, I needed a test cause I am almost sure to buy it ( sh with 100 euro )
can I focus people in it...
Love u! Ps nice camera
Would this camera 📷 be ideal for Isle of Man 🇮🇲 TT pictures taken of the bike 🏍 racing.
TUBORG - be ready for anything !!! 🙂
Otichnoe video !!!
Very nice.. Nikon b500 or sx430 which one is better?
@photography passion only one thing that I worried about is the battery backup of sx430....😲
Amazing
Bro superb👍👍
thank you :)
Hi, can i use this for vlog videos?
Yes, you can, but it is not an ideal option. I would not recommend CCD camera for video (low resolution and quality). Take some CMOS camera (Canon SX720/730 for example, or Sony HX60), they will be better a little bit
how to use blur effect pls tell me
It already written in the discussion below ;)
Can it record a video plz some one tell me ASAP 😂😂😂🙈
Yes, it can, but only HD is supported (1280x720 px)
Digimanie.cz That hurts for 2019
Hi!I just got mine, can you help me how to blurry the background?
Hi, it is written in this discussion already. It is exhaustively described just below your comment (according to the chosen ordering). Look for Richard Alberto Taner's thread
very awesome
Is the 530 better or worse?
It depends on how you define "better". Something is better, something is worse and it depends only on your criteria, it the camera is better or worse. Nevertheless, in general, SX530 is better. It has better sensor supporting Full HD video, it has larger zoom and supporst manual and priority modes. SX530 is bigger and heavier but I do not know if this is better r worse for you...
Sony h300 or canon sx430 which one to buy please suggest me in that range
canon sx430
Canon sx430is better
H300 is better when talking about photos
canon sx430 is or canon 4000d?
Google se photo utha ke diya hain kiya😂
Sorry there’s no way they were took with that camera. I have it and not a single photo looks like that. The pictures are very grainy and noisy and my 12mp camera on my phone takes better pictures. Definitely returning mine. A awful camera.
It is also about the light and knowing how to take such images. There is a link to a review with straight out of the camera shots (they are also in this video) and you can look et the EXIF
Not bad
İs that real omfg
*Dichannelku juga ada video unboxing, review dan test foto+video dari kamera ini. Di tonton ya guys :)* xz
can I focus people in it...
Yessssssssss
How do u change the shutter to get faster shutter speeds?
The only way is to increase ISO. SX430 does not have an ability to change shutter speed (it is available in night mode only)
