Rey Sosa Hey, I retwist my hair once a month. my hair is is all loc'd, it's just maturing. Towards the ends of some of the locs are not loc'd. The two strand twist pattern is still visible in some locs though. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching.
Just got in my Locs like 2 weeks ago and I don't know if I should wrap my hair before I go to sleep or don't put anything on it at all so I'm kind of new to this lock thing so is there any tips you can give me about my hair to be wrapped or not or anything
+Felicity Hull oh two weeks! Well congrats! Personally, I was never used to wrapping my head at night as a loose natural so it's hard to get in the habit of doing so for me. However, being in the first few weeks you might want to wrap it at night just to keep them neat and falling in one direction. Is your hair in comb coils or twists? And how long is your hair? If it's long enough that it won't untwist while your sleeping then it's entirely up to you and what you're comfortable with. How have you been sleeping the past few weeks?
Empress Locs thank you so much. I have not really been sleeping and my hair comes like a little past my chin and I don't think it's going to stay locked because my hair is kind of fine oh yeah as of two strand method so that's what I'm basing it off of I tried to comb coils for like 2 months and I miss them up so I thought this would be the best decision to go with because people say is low maintenance
+Felicity Hull I only wrap my hair up in a scarf when I want to preserve a certain style. Other than that I just go to bed. I sleep on a satin pillow case so I don't worry about it too much.
Felicity Hull congratulations! 1. Do not be afraid of water! Your hair needs moisture and water will help with the locing process 2. Do not retwist too often. See what works for you 3. Be patient and enjoy your journey as your hair changes 4. Even if you do not plan to document your journey through social media, definitely take pictures for yourself each month. It's fun to look back on progress. Also will help with motivation. 5. Try out different styles and techniques to see what works for you. (Although, I wouldn't use any wax based products) 5. Enjoy your journey!! 👑🔒❤
