Thanks Robert. I'm hoping the next Lancaster episode will be the last before the final reveal. Just lots of little jobs to do - I'm hoping it should be ready next week.
I find kits like this are a pain, my wife will say "you are a model maker, fix it." I'm building a Cambrian whale kit, oo gauge, for my model railway and it's a pig. I am not enjoying the build 😕but I want a whale for an engineers train. When I was in the Air Force, we had Australian F111s land at the base, being a fireman we had a tour and, like this plane, I noticed the air intakes were really big. You could quite happily have a few beers 🍻 with friends in it. The model looks really good, well done.
9:25 that photo reference show the pixeled camo type applied around since 2014. And the kit decal scheme depicts the one used in 2008, camo pattern was diferent to the reference, so the one in the kit is correct. Greetings!!!
Nice build, considering the quality of the kit. One observation I have to make...the mudguard for the front wheels is not where it should be. It should be opposite, on the back of the wheels
Awesome build I have seen a few of your other videos and didn't see this one but I like it. One question would it have been possible to alter the vents to make them where they were open for was there not enough plastic.
great job, especially for a decent kit, and great job getting the decals to look nice. I you want to build another MIG-29, I strongly recommend the zvezda one, retailing at around $40 aus.
Nice MIG-29 model, I've just bought this same version! You didn't need to apply any paint to the aircraft before placing the digital decal right? Greetings from Peru :D
@@ModelNerd oh for birthday god gift card it wasnt a big model shop i just got the ones that i liked and i could afford(mig 29 and AH1w super cobra)but i dont think its the same brand tho
A beautiful and impressive result to say the least, though I must make one tiny nitpick. When on the ground and with the engines inactive, the intakes on the upper fuselage are closed. They only open when the engines spin up and the anti-foreign-object doors close. This is so that the engines can still get air while the proper intakes are protected from loose debris on the runway (Like dirt or stones in the event that a MiG-29 in wartime had to operate from a rough or unfinished airstrip)
Thanks Gilbert. The decals were definitely the best part of the kit - very pleased with how well they went down. The HK 1/32 Lancaster coming up this weekend I hope....
The finished result far outshines the quality of the model 👍
Thank you Simon - much appreciated

Just received the same kit. Thanks for your advice. Looks great!
Thanks - have fun building the kit!
Quite a challenging build but well executed.....congrats for doing a great job. Great camo scheme! Will look forward to the next Lancaster episode.

Thanks Guy. Yes, I think this was a combination of not a great kit and a subject that didn't massively inspire me in the first place.

Thank you - that's really helpful

Thanks Alex. I should have spotted that. Thanks for pointing it out.
still looks really good. Thanks.
Thank you

Thanks. The plastic was molded closed and I figured cutting them open would make more mess than it is worth.
Nice paint and aseemb.😍 I realy-realy love Mig😘
Thanks mate

Thanks for the recommendation. The MIG-29 comes in so many schemes that I think I'll have to build another at some point.
Happy to have helped! Hope you have a nice day!

Thanks. You need to paint it first, otherwise I'm guessing the decals won't stick well. Plus it will look very plastic-like.
Awesome! 👍✈️
Cheers!
finished building my model today (ps use PVA on the cockpit peices or wood glue)
Nice. Same kit? How did you find it?
@@ModelNerd oh for birthday god gift card it wasnt a big model shop i just got the ones that i liked and i could afford(mig 29 and AH1w super cobra)but i dont think its the same brand tho
i saw this model but i didnt buy it cause i could get 2 models and i would get 1 if i bought it

Good job..only needed resin nose and K36D seat.
Yes, the kit details are not great. However, I'm not particularly a fan of buying lots of resin accessories for kits. Gets expensive real quick...
Very nice build and video. 😎👍
Thank you
muy buen modelo el MIG29 te quedo de 10 puntos
Thanks Alejandro
nice decals to bad they didn't make new molds for the kit sad shame Academy great video keep them coming

They are DEE-CALS not DECK-ALS. Not sure how you get the word DECK when there is no K in the word.
How do you pronounce 'decorate'? Hopefully you say 'dee-corate', because there's no K in it :P
