When greatness is redefined because it looks different or ruins what has been the norm forever, many people reject it until it becomes impossible to ignore. Two examples are Steph Curry and 3-point shooting and Lamar Jackson as a QB who maximizes his arm and legs to phenomenal success. It is why Steve Young has taken a liking to Lamar Jackson. Steve Young had speed at the QB position that he felt was under used by the genius HoF HC Bill Walsh.
