  • How does a young lad from Widnes go from the stocks trade to the drugs trade, mixing with mexican cartels, the mafia, and neo nazis in one of the toughest prisons in the US?That’s where Shaun Attwood found himself after becoming a kingpin and building a drug trafficking empire from Arizona.
Sentenced to 9 and a half years, Shaun was incarcerated with some of the most dangerous inmates imaginable, but by using alliances, quick whits, and his English accent, he came out the other end to tell the tale.
He’s now a very successful UA-camr, Podcaster and Speaker, sharing his experiences and advocating against drugs and crime.

Even though Shaun was involved in what he did,you can clearly tell he’s not of that life and wouldn’t have understood the consequences of those actions should he be caught. He is one of many people who have a fairly “normal” and settled life then seem to want the excitement of the dangerous life. Sometimes I feel like he exaggerates the situations from back then but in reality he knew he was never getting 200 years

What do you find so incredulous about his story? I’m no fan of Shaun, think he’s a bit weird, but when you get someone like him, remember pre 911 and pre ecstasy being seen as a serious drug in the USA, then you’re going to get crazy stories. I’m a bit younger than Shaun and my crazy rave days were based around London and the UK, ketamine was a class c drug and liquids were mot banned on planes. So if I were to sit down and have a beer with Shaun I could probably match story for story. It wouldn’t involve gangs or drugs, but it would involve Gangsters and crime, I never ended up in prison but myself and my contemporaries can tell you some stories which you could not write and could not happen nowadays, Shaun has never said he was a gangster but he did have some money , a co operative of friends and was surrounded by some crazy people….. he served hard time, the only reason we ‘hear about it’ is because he’s basically manic and his rents are both in pr and media relations so are on hand 24/7 for tips and guidance. I would assume most his books are recycled bilge though, an author he is not

I wouldn't have anything to do with crime if i lived in the US. The jail sentences are just insane. I don't think people really understand how long a year in jail actually feels. I can tell you that it is a looooong time for real. The notion of getting Years and years and years for a bit of drugs or whatever is absolutely CRAZY.
ON the other hand, it can seem some of our sentences are on the lenient side over here i reckon.
I mean u can legitimately get involved in illegal activities over here (white collar) where the payoff can be in the hundreds of thousands or even more, (if you have some capital) and have a decent chance of pulling it off, which if, it went absolutely tits up, would leave you looking at about 5years (for a first time offender) So, that would mean 2 1/2 years in jail, possibly straight to a cat D (open prison) and the rest on licence. On top of that, ud probably get "tagged" too. A further six months off ur 2 1/2 years prison time... So all in all, the best outcome, some serious money. Worst outcome 2 years in an easy open prison.
Really makes u think. Id love to have some of the only thing you can't buy no matter how much money you have. TIME!😂😂😂.
BUT , to be 20, with the opportunity to be a millionaire by 30. (Or accept, if it went wrong, that i could lose 5 years to the system) and be in the position to financially retire at 30, is not the most nonsensical thing ive heard of.
Thinking about it nearing 50, it doesn't quite hold the same allure.😂😂😂😂.
The thought of jail time with the numpteys you see on the TVs nowadays scares me tbh.😂😅😂.
      Anyway, what do people think?
      Yay or Nay?
      Would you?
      Could you?
      Should you?

Here in America with Fetynal they know u can’t detox off it in 7 days or even 45 but they are making money hand over fist to do nothing. I wish a lawyer would take up the case on this legal robbery. They don’t want to help anyone…. If they did Ibogaine would be in the states and ketamine would be covered by insurance.great interview!!!!

Great style Dodge you have a really intelligent way of asking focused questions at the right time- always letting the guest talk. Sean has a great story, he has a great pod cast as well.
Prefer the self-effacing interviews rather than the Johnny big bananas types.

He tells a good story but thats all that it is. A story. He's been found out so many times on other podcasts its cringeworthy. I'll start believing him when he produces one shred of proof that his time in the USA is as colourful and notorious as he makes it out to be.
