Puma RB looks crazy. If i was a Shoetuber, i would try this one if i could get a free pair but i can't imagine myself paying for this! There is a powerwalking trend now and i think that the nike comfyride probably is a cheap alternative to the infinity for the walkers . I believe it's a good proposition from Nike but not for runners.
I want that puma RB, the only thing that is putting me off is again the "limited release" nonsense. In other words, resellers with bots will hog em up and ask €500-€1000. Slowly losing hype for all high end shoes because of this.

@@EDDBUD the front plate. If you imagine a prosthetic running leg, the curve goes the other way for a reason... A forward propulsion reason. The way this is configured, it'll send you upwards rather than forwards.

I think in one of his videos, Sagasu Running said, according to an Adidas rep, each Evo 1 actually costs Adidas $1.2-1.4k to produce, so if true, they are actually losing quite a bit each production run.

The Evo 1 is 165g in a uk size 12. It’s a wonderful shoe. I got it on 1st release for 400 and ran 2:58 at Seville marathon a 25min PB and the Evos rolled me forward 😊
A lot of miles of training went into it! The weight made a huge difference especially in the last 5k/10k when it started to get tough. Especially as most of the shoes I use are nearer the 300g or above.
Gotta love your take on adidas Evo…. Logic prevails! Seriously. I’ve felt that way about many shoe models across the board. Encouraging a “rotation” of many shoes, no less, def keeps the model tweeks and $$ coming. Yeah, I’ve got decades of miles behind me, but most were injury-free miles w/ no more than a go-to trainer and a go-to racing flat. Love Fratelli music! Thx to Mr. Bud! Making dinner w/ “yes, sir I can boogie” cranked up w/ a few cold ones is always a highlight.
The Adidas Evo 1 is really for professional racing that need to cut a few seconds (minutes).. And did everything else already (training.. Sleep.. Nutrition..) and can afford it..

No one is ever going to accuse Puma of being boring. As for the Adidas model, say what you will about the absurd price, it's still likely going to sell out fast.
Nike can easily reduce their true running shoe lineup to VF/Peg Turbo, AF/Tempo Next%, Peg, Invincible, Vomero....and maybe some stability offering? And then create some other naming convention for lower quality running/lifestyle shoes.
I went to the Bicester Nike outlet a few years back which was also '..absolutely pathetic.' I asked about what was then the first iteration of the Nike Vaporfly Next% original (as I wanted to try it). No chance...they had 1 (and I mean 1, not even a pair) for show until the manager admitted that although it should be the other way around, the Vaporfly was too techy specific to have in the outlet itself. I did try the Cloudmonster Hypers and, honestly, were a much noticeable improvement over the originals, which still have a special place in my rotation (and the biggest mileage by far). Not sure if I like them better than other newer offerings. The other 3 are for sure never coming into my radar of consideration (gimmicky, expensive and or plain boring). IM pretty sure some folk over at Adidas dont like you so much after this video LOL. Midsole now!

All Nays for me today. I think Adidas know there is high demand for the EVO and people willing to pay top dollar so they can limit the release and push the price. The first release was proof. Sold out so fast and so many disappointed would be customers. They are doing exactly what Nike did with the AF3. However, Cornwall Council withdrew support for this, eventually leading to a groundshare at Plymouth Parkway. However, postponements affected their fixtures, so they moved 2023/24 home games to Taunton Town's home ground. It wasn't long before they were on the move again.. issues with waterlogged pitches at Wordsworth Drive forced Truro to move even further away to Gloucester to complete their 23/24 home matches.

Was a shoe that came out a few/several years back which had no heel that the Puma reminded me of. Did a search, found fbr shoes which are like that. Never tried them, closest I went was a pair of Altra zero drop shoes.
Yeah, i‘ve seen it to in Outlets. The Nike and Adidas Stores are just pathetic. Old stuff or middle of the road shoes (Vomero, Boston 10s. Etc.) it just isn‘t worth it

When the first Ewok died in Return of the Jedi, I went into a state of denial. Just a child, I wondered how something so teddy bear like could get gunned down in that manner. The shots should have missed it somehow ...Obviously I now recognise they were fair game for a killing. It's the first I've seen of their crisps though.
400-450 (the Puma and Adidas) is just ridiculous. I understand that they are essentially halo products. Basically made to make a statement and get people talking. But these prices are just becoming stupid.

At this rate, I will have to sell my kidney to get a pair of running shoes. Pro EVO sold 550$ around here. Next batch probably will go for more than 600$ and I wouldn't be surprised if they sell out instantly. Also totally agree with Nike shoes. They have way too much sub par trainers. I guess people just buying them because of the swoosh logo regardless of the quality.
All of them look like a waste of time to be honest. The Puma shoe looks fun but bearing in mind that the lack of laces indicates that it isn't a running shoe and that the price alone indicates that it is strictly targeted at fashion victims with mental issues, it is a firm no. The ridiculous Adidas Pro X is just a magnet for the gullible, so you can give that one a miss, too. Save your money for better days, Edd. They will come... 😉
Same expierience with Nike here in German outlets. These are horrible places. These days I wouldn't even consider buying Pegasus or Vomero shoes anymore (These once great shoe series have now become akmost an insult at the superior daily and lightweight options by Saucony, Hoka, Asics etc.) but these pseudo Pegs are even worse. I bet at any outlet or "shoe center" or whatever they call these horrible places, you'll find yet another nike "running shoe" model you and the entire internet have never even heard of I'm serious. There are Nike models you can't even google...I wouldn't be suprised if there were more than a 100 different current Nike running shoe models out there at the moment. It is ridiculous.
I can’t see myself purchasing a pair of On shoes in the near future. The design concept is more lifestyle than functional & I always remember runners squelching along when the roads get wet due to the midsole rubbing together. Who needs that!

Was a shoe that came out a few/several years back which had no heel that the Puma reminded me of. Did a search, found fbr shoes which are like that. Never tried them, closest I went was a pair of Altra zero drop shoes.

Yeah, i‘ve seen it to in Outlets. The Nike and Adidas Stores are just pathetic. Old stuff or middle of the road shoes (Vomero, Boston 10s. Etc.) it just isn‘t worth it

that's a Nay on all those for me. if someone gave me the Puma i would totally wear it. no laces sounds amazing and i wish shoe makers could figure that out but that fit has to be perfect
Not saying i wear the nike , but sometimes the low key shoe sells , the roshe run ? think if the roshe came with ZOOM X, look at brooks they got a ton of models and most dont change .

When the first Ewok died in Return of the Jedi, I went into a state of denial. Just a child, I wondered how something so teddy bear like could get gunned down in that manner. The shots should have missed it somehow ...Obviously I now recognise they were fair game for a killing. It's the first I've seen of their crisps though.

I don’t believe a shoe can be that much better for double the price of others.
At this rate, I will have to sell my kidney to get a pair of running shoes. Pro EVO sold 550$ around here. Next batch probably will go for more than 600$ and I wouldn't be surprised if they sell out instantly.
Also totally agree with Nike shoes. They have way too much sub par trainers. I guess people just buying them because of the swoosh logo regardless of the quality.

All of them look like a waste of time to be honest. The Puma shoe looks fun but bearing in mind that the lack of laces indicates that it isn't a running shoe and that the price alone indicates that it is strictly targeted at fashion victims with mental issues, it is a firm no. The ridiculous Adidas Pro X is just a magnet for the gullible, so you can give that one a miss, too. Save your money for better days, Edd. They will come... 😉
£450 for the adidas means they all end up on eBay for £900

Same expierience with Nike here in German outlets. These are horrible places. These days I wouldn't even consider buying Pegasus or Vomero shoes anymore (These once great shoe series have now become akmost an insult at the superior daily and lightweight options by Saucony, Hoka, Asics etc.) but these pseudo Pegs are even worse. I bet at any outlet or "shoe center" or whatever they call these horrible places, you'll find yet another nike "running shoe" model you and the entire internet have never even heard of I'm serious. There are Nike models you can't even google...I wouldn't be suprised if there were more than a 100 different current Nike running shoe models out there at the moment. It is ridiculous.

The alignment of the heal seam and the midsole on the On shoe is way off. Very questionable quality for an expensive shoe.
The other models I have had have been good. But the first version of this one didn’t work all that well for me.
I can’t see myself purchasing a pair of On shoes in the near future. The design concept is more lifestyle than functional & I always remember runners squelching along when the roads get wet due to the midsole rubbing together. Who needs that!
That adidas shoe must be for the Saudi market who in there correct mind would throw 450 at a meh shoe more than I spend in a year on running gear absolute jokes
