- Israel is pushing back on a plan to end the war in Gaza, which President Joe Biden announced was an Israeli plan on Friday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded Saturday that any deal to end the war without removing Hamas from Gaza is a "non-starter."
Iran’s hard-line former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has registered as a possible candidate for the country's June 28 presidential election, seeking to regain the nation’s top political position after a helicopter crash killed the nation’s president and seven others.
And Claudia Sheinbaum, a former climate scientist and mayor of Mexico City, will become Mexico's first female and first Jewish president.
