I mean, I have a theory for the moaning sound. As a body decomposes, methane can fill up the lungs and escape through the mouth, making a moaning sound. (fun fact: This is where the stories of vampires and other undead came from.) So I think that for Bonnie and Chica, there are most likely dead, and decomposing, bodies inside the two, hence the moaning.
I highly doubt that this theory is correct. I don't think there's a corpse decomposing inside Chica's body. If it was decomposing, the customers would have smelled it right away. So either: 1. There's no corpse inside. 2. The corpse is preserved with chemicals not to decay. Either way, the theory with methane gas would not stand.

Original chica is creepiest imo. The metal casings from the later games is so much less scary than the more realistic animatronic plush material. I think making them talk also makes them so much less creepy.
I'd say this is true for all of the animatronics. While I feel all the subsequent designs of all the animatronics were made with the intention to be creepy, the originals just...were. Something so uncanny valley, so humanoid enough to be deeply unsettling. It helps that the firsts were designed after Scott's old game, where the main protagonist was just incidentally creepy. He managed to capture that perfectly in the first game with all the designs of the og animatronics, and I don't think the other ones have ever hit the same mark as well

The transformation of Chica's design is EXHAUSTING. There was absolutely no reason to take her in such a sexualized direction. She is a giant chicken originally inhabited by the soul of a little girl. like wtf.
She's not really sexualized in-game. That's more of you having a predisposed bias since you have seen the fanart. If you look at the raw designs for the game and nothing else, the only thing they've done is give Chica a more humanoid shape. Yet they've done that with all of the animatronics, just look at Toy Bonnie, he's got a pretty similar shape, yet is not considered sexualized. In defense of the "toy" designs, all of them have no "clothing". The only one that does is Chica. She has the pink outline for some form of bottom. They could have just made her completely yellow (which they did for Rockstar Chica), but that's about all you can really argue about it. Edit: I believe what most people are doing is as I described in the second sentence. They're mistaking a vaguely feminine shape for "sexualizing" when in reality it is a very tame design being projected onto by prior engagement with fanart.

The transformation of Chica's design is EXHAUSTING. There was absolutely no reason to take her in such a sexualized direction. She is a giant chicken originally inhabited by the soul of a little girl. like wtf.
She's not really sexualized in-game. That's more of you having a predisposed bias since you have seen the fanart. If you look at the raw designs for the game and nothing else, the only thing they've done is give Chica a more humanoid shape. Yet they've done that with all of the animatronics, just look at Toy Bonnie, he's got a pretty similar shape, yet is not considered sexualized.
In defense of the "toy" designs, all of them have no "clothing". The only one that does is Chica. She has the pink outline for some form of bottom. They could have just made her completely yellow (which they did for Rockstar Chica), but that's about all you can really argue about it.
Edit: I believe what most people are doing is as I described in the second sentence. They're mistaking a vaguely feminine shape for "sexualizing" when in reality it is a very tame design being projected onto by prior engagement with fanart.

And yes, truly they can just be giant blocky designs like in the original game and that's it but clearly they wanted the animatronics to become more humanoid in shape. If you look back at the toy designs, Bonnie has a similar shape. You're lying to yourself if you can't admit that.
Edit: no iteration of Chica has a significantly sized breast. Her chest has always been barely any different from the male animatronics.

To think you need to do that to portray the femininity of your character is wrong. This has been spoken about repeatedly with animation "femininizing" the animals in movies. Plus, in a game where they are animal models with children's souls, that being how you choose to display their femininity is also troublesome.

When I was younger and FNAF was the hottest thing since the Sun, I always couldn't help but imagine Toy Chica was the "Edgy Teenage Girl" of the group. So her UCN voice making that canon years later just blew my mind and I found it hilarious.
