100% I think everyone needs to relax and see how the game actually is at release rather than speculating.

I appreciate your emphasis on the marketing team because some people don't seem to realize that what a marketing team decides doesn't necessarily reflect the actual quality/tone of the game
I'm a die hard Dragon Age fan. 2 was my favorite and Inquisition my least favorite, so maybe I'm not the best person to give my opinion on how good the next game will be lol
But for me, as long as the writing is good and the characters are complex, I'm sure the game will be fantastic

I’m right there with you about Veilguard: so long as the characters and writing are fun and interesting, I’ll give it a shot.
That character trailer I reference a few times is a little cringy, but I’m really curious about most of the characters in this game. I already have so many questions about the “veil jumper”!
      Thanks for watching!

Ill judge the game myself, i dont trust reviewers. If it sucks, then it sucks, if its decent then its decent, if its GOTY then its GOTY (for me) but i need to experience it for my self to really judge it. And i will do it simply because its Dragon Age and i love every DA game so i wont miss another no matter what.

I played Dragon Age: Origins when it first came out as a kid and fell in love with the setting and characters. I also really enjoyed the Awakening and Witch Hunt DLCs. My enthusiasm for the series started to fade after Dragon Age 2 was released. Playing as a voiced character like Hawke with a fixed background didn’t appeal to me, and I didn’t really connect with the companions, combat, setting, or plot. I ended up dropping the game after around 40 hours.
I bought Inquisition because I heard Morrigan was in it, and I hoped to see a continuation of her and the Warden’s story from Origins and *Witch Hunt*. But I never got that far into the game-I was one of the players who got turned off by the grindy open-world design.
As for Veilguard , I’m coming into it with a more neutral mindset. If it’s a return to form for Bioware, that’s great! If it turns out to be an unfinished cash grab from EA, well, that kinda expected at this point. I’d probably care more about Veilguard if Baldur’s Gate 3 hadn’t come out in 2023, which I feel is the spiritual successor to Origins .
I do find myself a bit skeptical of the overwhelmingly positive reviews from game journalists and content creators who got early access from EA and Bioware. It reminds me of the positive spin Bethesda got before Starfield was released.

Great video. But i think this weird fashion of following games around the internet, just to spit at them and chant for their downfall... its pretty telling about the mental health of people who spend too much time online. Healthy behaviour would be to dislike a game and move onto something that excites you.

The people are invested in the world, not just a hero part aged interestingly with the news that only 3 choices from da:I will carry over and nothing from the previous games

One thing you mentioned, how Dragon Age avoids the long spanning story, they still keep a lot of that from game to game, ever since DA2 they have brought back previous characters and concepts to keep it connected. Its hard to keep a balance like that in check, and they have struggled with that for years. But i hope they can nail it here, they need it now more than ever

You’re totally right! I mostly meant, when compared to defeating the Reapers from Mass Effect 1 through 3, Dragon Age relies on a shared world, without one massive cataclysm. There’s definitely shared conflicts and characters, but you’re not still fighting Origins’ blight. It won’t be long now, we’ll know how they manage soon enough. Thanks for watching!
