    Great chat! Death teaches us to value life..so many deaths in my life including my 17yr old child helped me life in the moments with tremendous gratitude. Walking hand in hand with love and grief is a beautiful way to honour the love that never dies.

      Dear Leah, I'm so sorry to hear about the death of your child, no mother or parent should ever have to experience such grief and loss. Jesus weeps with you at the tragedies of this realm... hold on, hope is alive, hold on, hope has a name, hope revealed in love will soon appear. I pray you find Comfort and the Peace that surpasses all understanding 🤎🙏🤎

    Anyone hankering for fame must be offered the chance to watch this conversation from the 1hr 10min mark. We love you, Ferne. Your openness is helping so many to face the reality of what can be a graceless world.

    Two genuinely lovely people. Love it. Particularly liked the part where Rangan told of the importance of simply listening, without judgement or comment. Hard to think of anyone more grounded than Rangan. Maybe there is still ego, but it's different, an ego of the all life, not one mind. Something like that.
    Had a major crush on Fern when I was a teen. Not heard about her since I stopped TV at 20. I think my instincts were good.

    • @bjkina
      @bjkina 2 роки тому +1

      I couldn't grasp why she seemed to have a bit part. I could sense within seconds that she was a pure heart.
      ps : re 'ego' : it is when one realises that it is not about 'me', but 'we'.
      The desire / ambition / drive is still there, but it is now about all, not just oneself.

    • @Tortise02
      @Tortise02 2 роки тому

      @@bjkinaYou are so right, it's not about "'me' but 'we'"; having realised that, we then have to work out what our part in the "all life" is, and not try to do it all!

    My biggest 2 lessons I've learned so far are 1) practice the pause in the moment before reacting or not reacting and 2) consider. Consider what you like and what you don't. Consider who you do and don't like and let that be enough of a why. Leave the door open for opportunities to learn but active regarding is a start.
    Life is too short not to value your own preferences in all aspects of life.
    Great episode, thank you.

    • @bjkina
      @bjkina 2 роки тому +1

      With some trepidation, I think this is on the right lines.
      Freedom is when there is a pause between experience and reaction.
      If oneself is pure, one need not get entangled in toxic engagements.

    • @bjkina
      @bjkina 2 роки тому +1

      The trepidation thing relates to the IF - if one is pure. So, care not about others opinions; care about your own distortions.

    You have come into the world at a time of tremendous change and challenge. It is not an easy time to be in the world, but if *contribution is your purpose and intention,* it is the right time to be in the world.
    You have come at a great turning point. It is not the beginning of a new age. It is the beginning of a great transition, a transition from tribal culture into a world community and into interaction with the Greater Community, of which your world is a small part.
    You have not come here to live a normal life under quiescent circumstances. You have not come here to retire, to go into repose or to live a life of quiet meditation. *You have come to serve a world whose needs are immense and pressing* and whose time has come for a greater encounter with life beyond its borders.
    From: Greater Community Spirituality, Chapter 11: What is your preparation for? by *Marshall Vian Summers*

      It is quite interesting that you say this. I was one of those people who always got what I thought I wanted, but invariably I found it all rather shallow and meaningless. I can see how contribution to the world instead of just taking from the world would make a difference. I am going to ponder this further. Thank you for sharing it here.

    I can relate holding my dad's hand on the night he passed, which felt like the first time in when I lived with him for 18/19 years. It felt like the first time and last time I will hold his hand. I bursted in tears as we never had a connection and realized he is my father. I say realized because we never really connected not even a single conversation throughout my life, I felt like I was just co existed with a man. But didn't have a father sense to him.

    Thanks Fearne. We had to put our adopted cat to sleep more than two years ago. It leaves a mark, defintely. It's hard not to well up when I think about him. But when I ask myself whether I would rather not have had met Lucien, I will ALWAYS answer NO. Yes, there is sadness and pain at the loss, but I will be forever grateful for all the memories of our time together, and what he taught me about second chances in life, trusting again, blooming in a loving environment... playing hide and seek. Our furry kids give so much and ask for so little in return. They are great teachers of unconditional love. I'm sorry for your loss x

    Two of my favourite podcasters here. Fearne is so honest & authentic and so many people, especially women I’m guessing will be able to relate to much of what she said. So sad Fearne lost a beloved pet so recently. Those who’ve never had a pet may find it hard to understand the depth of loss you feel when your friend/ part of the family is gone. So much of this conversation resonated with me. The need for self compassion & love is so important these days and it’s liberating when you finally start being true to yourself instead of being who others think you should be. Thanks Dr Rangan & Fearne.

    I am a person who resides in NYC and I am trying to get a recommendation to see a good quality doctor I can speak to who can try to figure out my health concern after going to the emergency room from a slight headache on the right side of my head and underneath my right eye.
    While I was picking up my medication I felt a throbbing pain underneath my left rib...I was coming home at the time and it felt like a sharp pain..like someone punching me. I immediately called 911 and had all sorts of tests ran ..cat scan...ekg...echo cardiogram...I was in constant pain the whole time also at the same time I was feeling this heat in my body that ran through my back and cheat that felt unsettling...I was kept over night for observation and my blood pressure and heart rate was monitored overnight. I felt better at that time and then was discharged. When I tried to go to sleep that night something was not right!! I still felt the warm tingly feeling in my back and chest. Then I proceeded to get more effects...tingly feeling in my fingers (ring and pinky)...also toes in right foot also tingly. Then I felt a pain under my right shoulder blade and top of shoulder off and on. Also on top of that I felt my right hand just go limp with no feeling until I shake it off, and then today I had diarrhea that burned along with left nostril the other day being dried out with mucus...????I have been to emergency many many times and the doctors just throw pills at the symptoms and not look at the problem...its just acetaminophen..ibruprofen...amlodipine..valsartan...atorvastatin and muscle relaxers....they don't seem to be doing anything...I am in the process of trying to see a neurologist and a orthopedic. If there is anyone that can give any advice or if you are going through a similar problem please message me with any suggestions. Does anyone know a really good doctor that will look at my condition that is in new york...I know it's a long shot but I was trying to reach out to someone like Mark Hyman..or Roger Seheult..someone who knows what they are talking about and not someone who is just a resident or physician assistant...when it comes to your life no one is going to be concerned as
