    This is a real V-8 Bel Air car. Ground up restored to look stock but has a few nice upgrades. A fuel injected 327, 4 speed and power disc brakes make it a whole lot more fun to drive! It looks great in Harbor Blue too.
    EXTERIOR: Very impressive fit and finish on the body. It is straight from any angle you look. All the gaps line up square and flush. I don't see any signs of damage, cracking or blisters. The doors shut like new. Beautiful Harbor Blue metallic paint is laid out evenly. The clear coat is polished very smooth and glossy. Door jambs are painted real nice. All of the chrome and stainless was redone or replaced at time of restoration. It's still overall very good condition. It has optional rocker moldings and dual mirrors. The flippers over the door windows work. The windshield was replaced, the rest of the glass is very good original. Weather strips were replaced. It has a set of chrome 15 inch rally wheels with spinners. They've got reproduction BF Goodrich Silvertown blackwall tires, fatter and taller in back.
    INTERIOR: Restored from carpet to headliner back to original condition. Down on the floor is new blue carpet with Bel Air embroidered floor mats. A new Hurst 4-speed is sticking up out of the hump. In front of me is a restored dash. All the metal has been repainted. The trim looks like it's been replaced. It has a new speedometer showing only 5,080 miles since the car has been restored. It also has a mini tachometer mounted on the column. A digital retro stereo fits in the factory hole and also has auxiliary plugs. The clock is ticking! The upholstery and door panels were replaced with correct reproduction. The headliner is new and the dome light works. New glove box liner and it has an owner's manual and working light. The heater control panel looks like new. It has seat belts replaced in the front.
    ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Rebuilt 327 motor with double hump heads and the famous Rochester fuel injection system on top. The FI was completely restored and is complete with correct fuel pump, air cleaner etc. It was also upgraded with an alternator instead of the generator. Modern power brake system with a dual reservoir master. Optional electric wipers. Dressed up with finned aluminium Corvette valve covers.

      Similar story here. My Dad sold my 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner. A beautiful forest green after I joined the Army and he got in an accident in it. My mom gave away my American Flyer trains and threw out my baseball card and comic book collection. My parents are gone now and I still love them and may they Rest In Peace but that hurt, mostly in hindsight.

    It's the painstaking restoration that makes the vehicles desirable. They look more beautiful than in the showroom brand new.

    I WORKED AT THE CHEV ASSEMBLY PLANT IN VAN NYES CALIF IN 1959. SALARY WAS $2.08 AN HOUR - AVERAGE PRICE FOR THE BEL AIRE WAS $1895, BUT COULD NEVER AFFORD ONE THEN. THE PLANT IS CLOSED NOW I BELIEVE. EVERYTHING WAS DONE BY HUMAN HANDS IN THE PLANT - NO ROBOTS BACK THEN. I THINK WE TURNED OUT A NEW CAR EVERY FEW MINUTES BACK THEN. NO DAMN PARTS MADE IN CHINA THEN EITHER.

    I'm drooling. I never thought that if I were to own a classic car it would be a Chevy, but this changes my mind. Simply beautiful.

      Wow, what classic car would you own if not a Chevy?
      The Ford Falcon perhaps? Maybe something a bit more flashy such as a Pinto? Maybe you are a Mopar guy and dream of the Belvedere?

    Exactly like my second car as a senior in high school- bought when it was a year old. I had mine painted a little lighter blue (Ice Blue Metallic, a Chrysler color) and had rolled and pleated medium blue leather upholstery installed. It had the stock 283 4 bbl. until I bought and installed a $40 "Corvette" kit from the local Chevy dealer. The kit had a Corvette cam and solid lifters that turned it into a Corvette engine. I raced the car at area drag strips for a couple of years and only lost one race. It won a roomful of trophies. What a great car. It brings back many pleasant memories of happy times in America that will sadly never return. I bought a new '64 Impala, also light blue metallic, that came stock with a Corvette 327, 300 HP engine. Another great car but it's forte was top end speed. I never found out how fast that car would actually run. It would hit the peg on the speedo and just start bouncing with pedal left.

    That is One Beautiful Un-molested, fully chromed Masterpiece of Stock Automotive Design. Nobody in their right mind would Chop, Drop and butcher a car from the 50's like that up. OH Wait a minute. Why don't "Customizers" cut up, strip off all the chrome, make it so you have to get on your hands and knees to open the doors and destroy a gem like that Chevy, as was done to that Red 50 Mercury you also have for sale? Just exactly WHO'S taste in Auto Preservation is distorted?

    When the 57 Chevy first appeared I personally thought it looked like a piece of junk and so did all the neighbors. It was baby blue in color and all that chrome made it look cheap.
    The guy who owned it got so pissed he traded it for a yellow Edsel.
    I thought his second choice was awesome.
    I was 11 years old.
    My favorite American car was the 59 ford fairlane. My dad bought one for my mom. It was so big and roomy and rode like a dream.

    • @VoloMuseumAutoSales
      @VoloMuseumAutoSales  3 роки тому +2

      We don't include prices in the videos or descriptions because it is our policy that once a car sells, we remove the listed price for the privacy of the new owners. So if it was in the video, it would be there forever.

    • @jackhoward7932
      @jackhoward7932 3 роки тому

      @@VoloMuseumAutoSales I have been watching " Maple Motors " for a while, because they list their prices ! I have owned over a hundred Classic cars, that all had their prices on them ! Plus 4 Ferraris ! You have a lot nicer cars, but some of us can afford any that you have ! Just say'n.

    • @VoloMuseumAutoSales
      @VoloMuseumAutoSales  3 роки тому +2

      @@jackhoward7932 All our prices of vehicles that are currently available are listed on our direct website & other 3rd party car selling websites like Hemmings, eBay, CarsForSale...ect. However, once a car sells, all those listings get automatically pulled down by our dealer software and the price is no longer listed on our direct website.
      We took this approach years ago(10+) because many new owners would request the price be removed after they bought it. So instead of selectively removing prices when asked, we found it to be a better policy(and easier) if all vehicles worked that way. Because really, it isn't our place or anyone else to share or know what someone else paid for something.
      In the last couple years, there have even been two requests that come to mind where the new owner of a vehicle requested we didn't even leave up the sold page listing at all. Yes, we obliged with that request as well.

    I'm really old, and these cars were cheap when I was in High School. Can you imagine? I of course didn't buy one. I bought a 55 Mercury Montclair two door with a 312 for a couple of hundred bucks. It was nice, but not a Chevy. A few years later however when I came back from serving in Vietnam, I bought a very nice 59 Corvette. Of course, I sold that as well after a few years. Go figure.
