Rod Stewart modelled in his hotel room all of the time while on tour. He's a huge model railroad fan and has an incredible layout that's been featured in Model Railroader several times.
From my experiences while I was in the Navy we moved a lot. I hate moving. During my last two tours we brought a house and we still live here today. When we first moved in I set up my shop in the garage. If I had to move again one of the things that would have to be available would be a better space for my modeling.
