At all the naysayers whose bias is showing, these perform very well and sound great. Disruptive because of the price point and viral marketing and direct shipping which may be uncomfortable for traditionalists. I’ve replaced nCore amplification with a pair of these and they sound just fine. Levinsons new company Daniel Hertz is using nCore amplification in their new amps selling at mega bucks. For the modest price the V3 mono is surely a great audio bargain despite lacking the cachet of other brands.
I did several tests with amplifiers with TPA3255. My intention is to use my tubes in the cold months and use digital amplification in the warm months. In addition to being environmentally friendly, you also save on your electricity bill. The best I achieved with digital was using a tube preamp and very well built power supplies (this is essential). In this way, an extremely natural sound is achieved, which only loses a little to the valves. I did a blind test with some friends and most of them couldn't identify whether it was the digital amplifier or the one with tubes playing.
If you optimize everything except the amp you will achieve a result that might be difficult for a untrained ear to notice or pickup. Speakers will be extremely important as well. But soundstage, dept, low end, mid and all is restrained compared to better gear. Great value for the money without a doubt, but please be realistic... It's getting dumb at this point now. @@klepp19 Yes especially after upgrading the V3’s op-amps. Also the 2x Aegir were struggling to drive my speakers over 85dB triggering the safety mode a few times a week.
If you want to get the most out of them you can get a 48v 10a (instead of 5a) for each of them. I think the limitation is in the power supply capacitance. You will be driving them even hotter though.
Unlikely. It is the voltage that affects the heat, not the current. It can also be hotter with a higher output power. At the same power, it will remain as it is.

I didnt get what you said about that it is good for high sensitive speakers and then about low sensitivity speakers. Sorry for my ignorance, i’m new to this. So i’m planning to get the kef q350 and use this set of mono amps to power each speaker. Can it power these on high volumes? Is it safe to use this amps on a low sensitivity speakers?
No problem, Low sensitivity speakers are harder to drive, when you play loud they may not be able to give you good sound quality paring with V3 mono amps but normal listening levels up to 75 db range is fine, they will not sound good together above 85 db loudness depending on paring speakers, rated power output of these amps are dynamic power for marketing not accurate actual power output.
@@Tharbamar Thank you for clarifying. So what i need is an amplifier that gives accurate or quality power? Right now i'm leaning to get the kef q150, not sure if it needs lesser power and if that so, maybe i could get a more budget quality amp.. Could you give me advice on what amp to get for the kef q150?
@@danielcabel8203 sorry I can’t give you personalized advice due to different tastes, rooms and everything is different. But generally speaking V3 amps are ok to pair with most speakers for normal listening levels, If you want real power you have to look in higher price point of Class D amps.
Interesting. Some good lower cost stuff coming in to the market now. Of course from China. I wonder (seriously) if the president changes in November will there be a heavy tariff on these goods.
No problem, please note Fosi do not make 48V/5A single power supply with Y cable for two amps. Standard is either 32V/5A or 48V/5A, there is option of 48V/10A with Y cable for connecting two amps.
Hi pass the monoblocks 70hz f-mod. Plate amp subwoofer, budget friendly , 70hz down. Geshellia lab don't know spelling but you can get stunning sound cheaply details , wisdom of what works helps 50 years tech..

exactly , spend $420 on a niles SI-1200 and you'll be fine for long time or $1000 on a schiit or CLA200 ....these are junk toy amps only really good for a garage or surround sound duty on a make shift setup..I have a couple I use them for surround sound currently but wish I never even got them. they will be junked soon or maybe I'll donate them to a work radio.
Save up and get a Sugden A21 SE, Musical Fidelity A1, or Schiit Aegir. If you can live with modest listening levels, either amp will take you to audio nirvana. There are also A1 Chinese clones that sound absolutely amazing for the money.
@ChicagoRob2 way too many good amps for not much more....heck the Yamaha as301. Or the onkyo 9110...pioneer ae10 are all $200-$350...dayton audio has some decent amps now...even a big boy 400 for cheap.

I run it with a Sonic Frontiers tube preamp. It’s end-game for me.
Just cut the crap, what is output power in RMS? No way 240Watts at any loads with 48V/5A PSU, even in classD! In fact, classD doesn't bend Ohm law. And funnier thing here, wires running from amp into speakers are thumbsize diameter, power cords running into amp are maybe 48AWG Man, you cannot send out of amp more power than is coming into it! Times and times again i run into such BS with these overviews.
Cut the crap? how about do learn something like most Class D amps are rated for dynamic power, listening and comprehension skills before bashing someone, man just saying time and time again I run into the kind useless comment before even trying to understand.
@@Tharbamar Please, i know classD theory, but noone cannot beat laws of physics. In the end, the last devices which deliver sound to your ears are speakers, they cannot deliver more sound pressure than power inputed into these. Volts x Amp = Watts You cannot pump out of amp more power than you input, in fact it will be less. Perpetuum mobile is yet a dream you know And it all starts with PSU, miracles do not happen If you need, i can point you where to find RMS vs PMPO calculation formulas, they are basically the same for classA, AB and D🥸
@@marguskivilaan5369 please clarify are you judging the component with actual experience in your system? If not it’s irrelevant. These little amps are popular because they sound damn good for the money, no one is telling you they’re capable of delivering monster power against the law of physics, which I clearly stated in the video if you want to make your point at least watch the review so there is nothing to argue here and no point. Pros and cons of these are clearly stated in my review.
@@Tharbamar Well, listening experience is subjective. Can'n argue with this. Every amp type (A,AB,C,D) has it's pros and cons. For classD, it consumes less AVERAGE power than others. Still, you cannot bend roles of physycs. 48V x 5A =240W, but that is impossible to convert to output power without losses. Speakers need positive/negative signal to work, thus you have +/- 24V signal. Now, you will lose approx 1,5 +1,5V on solidstate output transistors (cannot be avoided). To find average power outputted at 21V RMS= sqrroot2 x 24 x R(speakers) = (about) 120Watts assuming you have 4ohm speakers. Want it other way around? 48V / 4ohm(speaker) = 12Aconsumption, PSU has a limitation of 5A 24V /4ohm(speaker) = 6A consumption Advantage of classD is less power and heat dissipation than A-AB-C, it's not a magical wand and doesn't change Ohm law Running amp in full bridge mode? PSU current is not enough Me personally? I have QUAD306 and some SE 12W tube amp, love the sound of tubeamp, everyday use is QUAD
Non ha molto senso pilotare dei diffusori da 1000 dollari ,ma anche da 500, con questo apparecchietto da 100 dollari....lo dovresti accoppiare a dei diffusori da 100-200 dollari al massimo e non aspettarti chissa cosa...
My Stereoloudspeaker cost $2500, audiophile, 92dB sensitivity and it sounds absolutely amazing, on my two ZA3s. So my V3 Monos will be here mid august or so, looking forward to the incremental accoustic improvements.

I would say if your only criteria is musical then the new version of the musical fidelity a1 should be top of your list. It is class A and limited in watts output with no fancy features at all but for the money sounds gorgeous.
Thanks for the review! Just one question: which Dac or chipset (ESS, AKM) would you recommend to match these V3 monos to maximize their potential?
Personally I like AKM a little more for my taste, thanks
I tried your subwoofer hookup method and it does not seem to work with XLR. Seems like only one speaker is working when I do it. Is there a problem with the XLR and sub matching. It's a powered sub. Any suggestions?
My suggested subwoofer connection is based on speaker terminals to high level input of the subwoofer.
Compared to Yamaha rn1000a, which one do you favor more?
Can't beat for the money when you pair with something like WiiM Ultra.
Thanks for the review. A question: were you just using a single adaptor for these amps? Or did you use 2 adaptors (one per amp)
They come with one power brick for each.
@@Tharbamar Thank you for another great review, is this more suitable for really low impedance 3.1 Ohm speakers than Topping B100 monos? thank you again and have great weekend
@@TransformerVolumeC I would not pair anything that goes below 4 ohm when impedance swing.
It would be good to see a THD spec vs power level.
But generally speaking V3 amps are ok to pair with most speakers for normal listening levels,
If you want real power you have to look in higher price point of Class D amps.
Would this sound better than denon PMA-600NE
V3 will have slightly better bass output in average listening levels, thanks
Interesting. Some good lower cost stuff coming in to the market now. Of course from China. I wonder (seriously) if the president changes in November will there be a heavy tariff on these goods.
All good? Doesn't this amount of carpet attenuate your midrange a bit?
Fosi Audio V3 Mono can use for b&w 603 s2?
Yes up to 85db range, it will start to lose grip after that.
Has anyone tried rolling opamps?
Yes, the free bonus Muse 2 sounds much better than stock.
Pretty Good sound like it!
소리 너무 좋네요!
스피커는 jbl을 사용 하신건가요?
Do you using Jbl speker?
Using S-1EX Towers, thanks
@@Tharbamar Thanks 😊
Vs denon pma- 600ne?
Is that stevie wonder ?
you use 2 power supplies or just one? I suggest 2 is appropriate.
This is not meant as as insult. I mention it cos I did not hear it mention in your review.
No problem, please note Fosi do not make 48V/5A single power supply with Y cable for two amps.
Standard is either 32V/5A or 48V/5A, there is option of 48V/10A with Y cable for connecting two amps.
Any songs with bass
Try Argentinian group Dread Mar I - song "My Lord" from the album Amor-es released in 2008
Hi pass the monoblocks 70hz f-mod. Plate amp subwoofer, budget friendly , 70hz down. Geshellia lab don't know spelling but you can get stunning sound cheaply details , wisdom of what works helps 50 years tech..
❤
If you chase the cheap class D route you’ll end up with a closet full of them and less money in your wallet vs just spending a grand or so on a nice amp to begin with.
exactly , spend $420 on a niles SI-1200 and you'll be fine for long time or $1000 on a schiit or CLA200 ....these are junk toy amps only really good for a garage or surround sound duty on a make shift setup..I have a couple I use them for surround sound currently but wish I never even got them. they will be junked soon or maybe I'll donate them to a work radio.
@@StrangeBrewReviews 100% agree
Save up and get a Sugden A21 SE, Musical Fidelity A1, or Schiit Aegir. If you can live with modest listening levels, either amp will take you to audio nirvana. There are also A1 Chinese clones that sound absolutely amazing for the money.
@ChicagoRob2 way too many good amps for not much more....heck the Yamaha as301. Or the onkyo 9110...pioneer ae10 are all $200-$350...dayton audio has some decent amps now...even a big boy 400 for cheap.
@@StrangeBrewReviews I have had a Yamaha A-S301 for seven years. It’s a great integrated. Excellent sound and lots of features for the money.
For a raw, pure Class A amplifier, a $300 Musical Fidelity A1 clone is unbeatable. I did a volume control delete mod on mine, so it’s strictly a power amp. I run it with a Sonic Frontiers tube preamp. It’s end-game for me.
The actual measured numbers are way lower.
Less than half
Just cut the crap, what is output power in RMS?
No way 240Watts at any loads with 48V/5A PSU, even in classD! In fact, classD doesn't bend Ohm law.
And funnier thing here, wires running from amp into speakers are thumbsize diameter, power cords running into amp are maybe 48AWG
Man, you cannot send out of amp more power than is coming into it!
Times and times again i run into such BS with these overviews.
Cut the crap? how about do learn something like most Class D amps are rated for dynamic power, listening and comprehension skills before bashing someone, man just saying time and time again I run into the kind useless comment before even trying to understand.
@@Tharbamar
Please, i know classD theory, but noone cannot beat laws of physics.
In the end, the last devices which deliver sound to your ears are speakers, they cannot deliver more sound pressure than power inputed into these.
Volts x Amp = Watts You cannot pump out of amp more power than you input, in fact it will be less. Perpetuum mobile is yet a dream you know
And it all starts with PSU, miracles do not happen
If you need, i can point you where to find RMS vs PMPO calculation formulas, they are basically the same for classA, AB and D🥸
@@Tharbamar
Well, listening experience is subjective.
48V / 4ohm(speaker) = 12Aconsumption, PSU has a limitation of 5A
24V /4ohm(speaker) = 6A consumption
Advantage of classD is less power and heat dissipation than A-AB-C, it's not a magical wand and doesn't change Ohm law
Running amp in full bridge mode? PSU current is not enough
Me personally? I have QUAD306 and some SE 12W tube amp, love the sound of tubeamp, everyday use is QUAD
@ so you think only you know? Got it.
Your halting English make you hard to understand
So you don’t know how to turn on subtitles?
@@Tharbamar I never thought of doing that
Non ha molto senso pilotare dei diffusori da 1000 dollari ,ma anche da 500, con questo apparecchietto da 100 dollari....lo dovresti accoppiare a dei diffusori da 100-200 dollari al massimo e non aspettarti chissa cosa...
My Stereoloudspeaker cost $2500, audiophile, 92dB sensitivity and it sounds absolutely amazing, on my two ZA3s. So my V3 Monos will be here mid august or so, looking forward to the incremental accoustic improvements.
Waste of time mate
Have you listened to them?
@@benjiebautista3960of course he hasn’t
Cheap rubbish
More power than most will ever need. And their speakers are worse
Have you listened to them?
@@benjiebautista3960The obvious question! I wonder about anti Chinese attitudes in hifi. What would the reception be if these came from Denmark for example?

hi, I would like to ask you, my friend, if only a short answer is possible, do you think the SMSL SU-X is the best Delta Sigma DAC up to 1000 dollars, thank you, good luck
Yes, it is.
