    Glockenspiel's are the wooden ones. Zilophones are metal.

      Wrong way around.
      Xylophone is Greek for "wood sound".
      Glockenspiel is German for "bell play"

      True, The xylophone is a musical instrument in the percussion family that consists of wooden bars struck by mallets. The
      difference between a xylophone and the glockenspie is the material used for the bars; the xylophone uses wood, wheteas the glockenspiesl use metal.

    "Glockenspiel" in english is weird. Glocken means "bell" so not anything vaguely xylophone shaed.

    Glockenspiels are wooden. Xylophones can be any material, usually metal.
