Do you find any difference in the branch line length, double or single line and hook up ratio? I sometimes tie a t knot to make the dropper loops and put hooks on that way, the double line loop keeps them from tangling the mainline. I like what you said about the shorter rig length and not fighting the rig all the time putting it in and out. Keeping it simple is always best!
My traces is made to the tipe of fishing we do as we carry 12 guys so the sit next to each other. Longer snoot will just tangle. On the geelbek trace most people use 2 Hooks but I stick to 1 as they going to tangle because of the longer length but most of the time it untangle it self on the way up
