Congratulations on completing the challenge Guys, Toby you need to get out more 😉 and visit the West coast of Scotland and as Mark mentioned late April/May even June or Sept is the time to do it.
Iron Butt member #81693 here. I did the Iron Butt challenge 1000 miles (1600 kms) in 2022 on a Suzuki GS500E from Danmark to Dresden in Germany and return. Its a big and difficult challenge so well done 🎉 👍👍
Well done lads. 400 miles in a day is enough for me Lol! I did that through France a few years ago and, was knackered. I can't honestly believe that one of you has never been to Scotland? It's a fabulous place for bikes and, as you now know amazing scenery. Have a go at the NC500 but, do it antickockwise. 👍🏍.
Great Video and it was a real pleasure to beable to see you off and see you on your return, as 1 of the many volunteers who help with this event. We get as much joy out of seeing everyone of the riders back as you guys do actually riding it. I will pass on you lovely comments to the 2 ladies who cheered you in too. Thank you again for taking part and the great video hope to see you both next time.
Hi, as one of the ladies of a certain age who welcomed you back after your amazing adventure it is always our pleasure and relief when you all return safely, this year was mine and my partner in crime first time doing the gate we normally have two other ladies but unfortunately one of the sisters has been very poorly, so im glad we did a good job, my little friend had actually broken her ankle couple of weeks before the event and i will decorate anything with lights that doesn't move LOL , My partner follows you on here, anyway thank you for your support and this video and if our sisters are back i will be back doing my job and booking you in next year
Hi guys , great video and achievement for a great cause 🏍️🏍️🏍️💨💨💨👍🏻 just to let you know I did finish the ride not too broken 😂21hours 45mins the bloke on the Superduke and race leathers 🏍️💨💨👍🏻 great talking to you all at the first services see you next year maybe 😂👍🏻 keep up the great work with your channel 👍🏻
Well done guys good video I was in the green jacket behind you at the start line fantastic event By the way I did speed slightly & got the ticket but all for a good cause
One of our club members did it too on her new GS1250 Trophy. I put her photo in the BMW Club magazine. I did the Lands End to John O Groats (24hrs) Iron Butt on a 700 Deauvile many years ago. We were shattered afterward even with all the energy drinks and chocolate (Cadbury whole nut for me). Well done guys. I might do this next year on my F800GT, that would be fun.
What an awesome experience, looking forward to doing it again next year. I’ll keep a spare can of fuel with me next time😂. Excellent company and lots of laughs, Thanks chaps
Congratulations chaps - that is a serious achievement! Scotland looks amazing and you timed it right with the weather. Thanks for sharing this experience.
Thanks fella's congratulations & I enjoyed the video. Toured Scotland a few times and even when its raining its enjoyable. Did you see Savilles old house on the right as you as you go through Glen Coe. Hopefully you didn't as hopefully its been demolished. If you ever get back there take the road from Fort William to Mallaig as its another great road. Love to do the IB myself but now aged 73 I'll use that as an excuse not to. Stay safe.
One more great blogs guys and enjoy your test ride and info on this channel I’m new to gs after 30 plus years on sport bikes and would like some help please we do a lot of 2 up riding and got full luggage too and need to replace tyres what brand would you say be the best all round for life and grip as where only touring around now enjoying the ride and signs and no moto gp rider Thanks guys and keep up the good work and hope to go on tour with you soon
Have a look at Metzler Roadtec 01. Pricey but worth the money. Ride safe why don’t you come to our ride out day on August 19th. Have a look at the video. Ride safe
Well done guys a great achievement! I nearly did it this year but it clashed with other plans but intend to do it next year how did you find it on the Sunday did you spend the day in the area and come home the Monday or did you get some sleep then head home as that was going to be my plan and my journey is from Bristol so not as long as yours
Yep, enjoyed that. Congratulations on completing this within the 24hrs, doing it without breaking speed limit as well as for charity too…. Some seriously stunning roads up them ways How long were you spending at your stops/ breaks throughout?
We could have done it faster but why would you? Our stops were long enough to grab a butty and a drink. Our longest was in Fort William which was about an hour. Ride safe

Fabulous, thanks so much for the cheery welcome. Loved it 😊
Awesome, well done guys... you should do an iron but challenge around Cornwall and Devon 😁👍🏻
Did one of these in 2019, 1067 miles solo in pouring rain through Scotland. Tough going midnight to 4am.
Congrats gents, great cause. 😊

I can imagine myself sitting on platters of ice cream for the next couple of days, if I ever attempted anything of the sort!

Brilliant….. one of your best videos
Wow, thanks
Hi, did you camp there the night before and after the event?
We stayed in a hotel not far away :)
Fantastic lads well done 👍
Thanks 👍
11mins in you just cut out Jimmy Saville’s gaff or was that on purpose 😂. White cottage on right hand side
Would like to say it was on purpose but honestly didn’t see it 🤣
Yep, enjoyed that.

@@markholroyd5365 I get it, 100% enjoy it for what it is. Glad the weather gods were with you too ☀️. Best wishes
1000 miles in 24 hours that’s some time in the saddle 😂😩
I think riding a 1000miles in 24hours on public rds is totally irresponsible it's not safe and not clever
🙄
