I am unsure what streaming platform do you use but something I noticed when you switched to B roll videos and it did not play is probably because you haven't added the source Microphone for that particular scene or forgot to make it Output on the stream. Hopefully you must have learned it by now, just came across those sections and thought it might help! Lemme continue watching lol :P

Hello Justin. I m MAJA from Nigeria. Thanks for this stream. It was super insightful. A major question on my mind is how do you deal with focus when filming. I majorly shoot at wide apertures when filming so someone will be in focus and others most likely not so cropping in to a part of the scene may be a problem.
Do you always shoot at high apertures 5.6 and above so everyone is in focus?

So usually I film at T2-T4. It just happens that they are all in focus because the distance/focal plane is almost the same. If I was a lot closer to them then the focus distance would of been different. Hope that makes sense.

I recently started rewatching your videos, and see you mentioned (in a different video) that you usually end up with 2 TB of footage from a wedding. What types of settings are you using on your blackmagic cameras? I just started filming weddings (solo) and got a 4K for speaches and safety angle, a EOS R for gimbal and groom angle, and my BMPCC 6K PRO as my main camera using a monopod. I'm using BRAW, full 6K at constant bitrate at 5:1. The EOS R and 4K didnt get much use outside of the speaches and ceremony, but in my recent wedding I also ended up with that amount of footage (of which 6K PRO was 1,35 TB, EOS R 200 GB, 4K another 200 GB). I don't nearly hold my angles as long as you do, even though I want to transition into doing so. And how many TB worth of SSDs/cards do you bring on a shoot? 😅
I do remember saying that but in that video, we filmed everything in 60fps. Now however we film in 24fps so we usually average about 1 to 1.5 terabytes even with holding long takes.
I film in Q5. Some scenarios I switch to Q0 but that’s very rare.
I would definitely say you don’t need to film in 5:1. Maybe for toasts, ceremonies yoh can but the rest of the day can be 12:1 or Q5.

I use davinci resolve. Absolutely love it.
How do you go about avoiding losing quality when you have to zoom in so much?
Also, it only took you two years to switch to Red lol
What headsets do you use?
I use the Hollyland Solidcom C1. Really great headsets I’ll be reviewing soon
