Nice finds! I recently got a brand new iPod touch 3rd gen 64gb on iOS 3.1.3, I’m very surprised the battery is still functioning after being sealed for 15 years
That battery might be swollen unfortunately since it has been dead for years but charging it increases the swelling even more. You will need to replace that battery or it will become a fire hazard. That is why collecting tech is more or less not recommended because of these batteries.

@@Ts.com13 no doubt about that, I hate iOS 16, 17 and 18, 16 removed the "device specific wallpapers" and the 3D Touch ones, 17 ruined imessage, and 18 messed up photos, 17 and 18 made the xr slow, so I got an se 2nd gen from a pawn shop for a whopping 30$ and was happy to see it was on iOS 14 and have never updating

iOS 8 devices can be extremely laggy when location services are turned on due to a baseband issue. Turn off location services and it will be fine

The upside down homescreen was actually a bug on ios 8.0
