What's the point of switching between ck and guitar?

"Flashing" is a Bard tactic where a bard quickly cast a song, switch weapon(CK) to cancel the song, switch back to guitar then cast another song. The song’s effect lingers for about 20 seconds after leaving its area of effect. Everyone near the bard will have 3 active song buffs at the same time.
