I've finally made it to the surge alloy. Only thing I dont know how to do is make a compact alloy smelter setup. Do you mind making a video of one? It would greatly help.
I tried this design feeding from the top working down and i am getting things shutting off because one machine ends up with too much of coal and others get too much sand. I can not figure out why that is happening.
I'm interested in seeing a more compact design. But yeah this version is out of date, shouldn't be a big deal: the design still works in latest version
@@SimonWoodburyForget I know. It's just a thing I know a lot of people care about for whatever reason..... I've yet to find any insane reason to do a full balance build over a compact build though, like I said I zipper all day long
This is a really nice setup, switch the lead to coal and replace the kilns with silicon smelters and you have silicon production just like that

Its a good setup. But since you used routers, passback can occour in the materials, lowering throughput
Yeah, overflow gates work way better, but they seem kinda buggy

That is impossible with this design so you probably did something wrong. Can you send a picture?

This is not the most compact, you can have a row of smelters/kiln with unloaders in between and use bridges to make the output more efficient

Yeah, it's good I do exactly the same but doing it too long as shown and your building just sit alone. Conveyor has limited speed.
