What is the best speed of your cycle? Is it 20km/h or 30 or 40 or in extreme cases, it can be 60 km/h, but if we would say that professional cyclists easily touch 100+km/h speed on any descend tracks, astonished, right? Actually, it is full of risks but they have the skills to hold on to that speed limit.
On number one there is a wonderful ride of Ion Izagirre. Ion izagirre hit 113 km/h on a time trial bike.
Ion Izagirre, a rider for the Movistar Team, was competing in the time trial portion of the Tour de Suisse. While descending a hill, Ion Izagirre reached an incredible speed of 113 kilometers per hour on his time trial bike. Ion, who is perfectly coupled to his Canyon Speedmax CF TEAm MOV, achieves such an impressive speed that we are able to see the speedometer on the bike that is chasing after him. It is important that you do not attempt to do it again because driving at that speed is something that can only be done safely by experienced drivers like Izagirre.
The second incident occurred in 2014 during stage 6 of the Tour of Switzerland. Everything was going smoothly until suddenly, Peter Sagan hit a bump at a very high speed of 82 kilometers per hour. But because of his abilities, he was able to exert control over himself and get back into the race.

I’m not a pro but everyone always tells me I’m a natural rider. I just hit 116.5kmh on my 1st major descent on my new bike! I was totally shocked….i knew I was going faster than I ever had before, but didn’t expect that!

6:06 Who is Bonafazio??? That is Fabian Cancellara, he's one of the biggest icons in the whole history of cycling and that particular descent is also one of the moments he's most known for. I know a bonifazio who rides for totalenergies but I don't know what he had to do with the descent?

Induráin vs Rominger (Tourmalet 1993). Indurain got back 50s at the top during the downhil. And Pedro Delgado (alias le Fou des Pyrénées) in 1983

You will 100% of the time beat me going up the hill, and you will 100% of the time be beaten by me starting at the top going down. I use to cycle down a hill daily hitting between 127- 131 Km/Hr, why because I'm bloody heavy and have a cross sectional area marginally bigger (more drag) but other cyclist reach there terminal velocity given the angle and their weight. I have just discovered a hill twice as long and twice as steep, but it's the run off at the end I'm worried about due to my weight I'm not keen on braking as wheels may already be stressed by speed. If I brake it needs to be slow and gradual as I don't want welds on front fork or drop out to be stressed. So I need to do full speed run to bottom and slowly sit up to air brake and then stand for full drag exposure and then bring on the brakes. I see the current serial production record unpaced is 210.4 Km/Hr for me to do that on a road with traffic would be risky but possibly doable.
RedBull if you are watching I have an Excel Spreadsheet with calculations.
Drop is 253 meters over 3,000 meters
    Grade 8.43%
Surface hard pack chip seal (motorway)
Acceleration 0.82M/Sec on grade, with drag adjusted 0.52M/Sec
    CFD .25
    X-Section 1.2 M
    Air 99.9 Kpa NTP
Cycling Power 1,000-Watts plus for 5 seconds
Note gradual uphill before downhill start so can hit peak / start at 40-Km / Hr plus
Terminal velocity on angle calculated to be above 210-Km/Hr
