😱 Holy cow, I just watched the whole video & I'm AMAZED at all the details he has done to make such a AWESOME sea aquarium in his house, that is TOTALLY AMAZING. 👍👍👍👍👍
I have been watching this guy’s reef transform over the years. He is super nice and really helpful on reef blogs and social media . I will say I would never want a reef this huge lol but I respect the fact that this actually exists and is so well done. Kudos and much respect!
I watched sooo many videos about this reef, but your in-depth explanation is by FAR the best I've seen. Also you keep the focus on the aquarium throughout the video. Great work!
Absolutely insane system, that goes without saying. 😆 Awesome coverage of this famous tank, I think so far this video gives the best visual of just how impressive Andrew’s tank is; the angles, choice of focal length of lenses, the mix of full tank shots with close ups really gives a more complete picture of the tank. 👍 Like someone else mentioned, this is the perfect video to celebrate the 100K subs, congrats in advance! 🎉
Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed it. There are always shots that I wish I was able to get but there is only so much I can do with my traveling setup that fits into my carry-on!
Thank you for answering the one mind boggling question I had, which was how do those corals look so fantastic with known coral nippers like angels and butterflies in there! This is truly a beautiful slice of the ocean. What a gift to be able to see it in person! 🥰
This tank is just so amazing!! Besides being one of the biggest home aquariums in the world, it certainly is one of the nicest home aquariums in the world, and that is a rare combo. The corals and the fish, just wow wow wow!! Amazing. I really hope to be able to see it some day, I’m sure no filming if it could ever do it justice. And what a really WOWs me compared to anything you’ve seen before is the amount of flow there is in this tank. I think that is another thing that makes it appear smaller than it is. We are used to see this movement of water in our smaller tanks but when you get to public aquariums you don’t get to see anywhere near this much movement. Incredible. Thanks for sharing this video.
I wish this video was 2x as long!! You cut it short but no no no, please continue! Andrew and his system is so amazing, I could watch it for hours on end.
I enjoy watching your tanks. Keeps me from getting my own. I don't have the space or time to devote to a tank. I had a small octopus years ago when I lived in the Florida Keys. It was amazing to watch for the week it lived with us. It disappeared one night, never to be found again. It could possibly have gotten back to the ocean... I hope it did. Thank you for sharing yours!
I've been watching your videos for years and I love them, and this episode, and tank, is just wow! Lots of stuff to look at and this is a video I'll watch several times because of all the info and details. Funny observation: at around 12 minutes you can see a conspicillatus-angel running counterclockwise laps😅
Great video - every time I see Andrew's system I always learn something new. The complexity is insane and the amount of continuous evolution must be staggering.
Such a great video. I love Andrew's tanks and his videos. I really appreciate your take on the whole system. And I also love the videography. Thanks for sharing.
That was epic! Excellent editing! Than’s videos are of such quality you really get a feeling that you’re there. Best video I’ve seen yet on Andrew’s system. Corals are looking Vivid in there for such a large water volume. Must be something good going into the system! 😉💯The one black fish was amazing. Never seen it before. Forgot the name already but he was a stud!
👍So beautiful 🥰 This is your best video ever because the beauty mix of rare fish and corals on this acuarium.is amazing all the equipment and detailed maintenance requirements to keep it
This is crazy, the equipment that run this reef is out of this world the size and scale of it to run this magnificent aquarium is definitely can take you to space 😆
Still boggles my mind that Tidal Gardens channel doesn't have millions of views and followers. Than, you always create documentary quality content and I am grateful! Please never lose the passion and keep connecting with the wider community and bringing it all into our homes with your wonderful video content and dialogue. I hope I get a chance to come through Tidal Gardens some day. Maybe on a trip back to Michigan from Colorado I will be able to manage a stop through Ohio. I wish I could travel around and spend my days documenting amazing private and public tank systems. I love how Andrew is into more than the look/appeal. Andrew as well everyone involved in the care and keeping are clearly appreciative and seeks out information on taxonomy, ecology, and biology etc. of these specimens and then do all they are able to provide what is required. I love the infrastructure and engineering aspects of this system. Thanks for covering a bit more on the systems keeping the display and QT systems functioning.| Ok. I will stop rambling and go back to viewing. I had to share how excited and the ignition sequence my passions go through whenever I get to consume more information on Reef Keeping. Thanks for everything.
Absolutely beautiful! I’m a big fan of Andrew as well as a big fan of yours. The way you explain everything is absolutely mesmerizing. I can only wish to have what you guys have. I have so much respect for you both. You bring reefing to the next level. The amount of time and patience needed to take of those large systems is mind boggling. Thank you for sharing with us.
Your review of this tank is the best by far. I have seen a bunch of videos on this tank and they're all done kind of chaotically because there is a lot going on there is a whole maintenance room there is an interview process there are multiple people there all the time. This video is done so well, audio is awesome but you have the best video footage of this tank by far.
This is a great video. I watched the one on Polo Reef. It was good to see you initial reaction to it. I would love to see this tank in real life. Just to sit quietly and take it in. The best thing about being able to visit this tank would be the fact that I would not have to worry about any maintenance lol.
Yea theses fishes are getting feed at least 3-4 times a day that’s why some of the corals are being left alone. But man I can just sit down on the floor and let my stress go away. Amazing tank so happy to just look at it great job Andrew Gbless your tank and thanks for the video. Crazy thumps 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I spent some time at the Long Island Aquarium yesterday, which has a 20k gallon reef, lots of similarities between the two systems but also some interesting differences when you break it down.
@@tidalgardens it's definitely a much further trip out across long island so definitely tough to fit both in. Andrew is only 45 min from me, but going out to see LIA can be another 2 hours depending on traffic. It's been fun to watch both of these systems grow, I visited Andrew early on in 2020, and the 20k was rebooted to an extent last summer.
Worked in nuclear power for 30 years. All I can say is this comes close, minus the reactor. Simply mind boggling, I can only imagine it beauty! So appreciative of this video, thanks so much.
Hey! I need your help. I'm planning two large aquariums for my home. A 700 gal FOWLR & a 350 Gal mixed reef. You showed the boilers you are using. I'm interested in doing the same. (Probably smaller models.) I'd like to ask you about them. #1. These boilers are using "copper-finned tube heat exchangers." I also see a lot of copper pipes and fittings on yours. I'm told that copper tubes and fittings exposed to the water is potentially harmful for living things in marine aquaria; the copper leaching into the water and tank over time. Is there no danger? Or, perhaps, the picture you filmed was misleading?? So, question (1) is about the copper danger. Question #2 You are using two boilers. Is one redundant? Or are they two boilers for two systems? Thanx for your help. I look forward to your response.
He doesn't need a blue tang in there because he have a 1600 gallon. That comprises of corals , angelfish and blue tangs. He have a 900 gallon with butterfly fish and other tangs. A 90 gallon with two peppermint angel fish with Abe Angelfish as a tankmate. A seahorse tank and a new 2500 gallon being updated which is going to have new fish.
I wanted to see the backup generator he has for power outages, and if he would let you know the month cost to run it. I already know if you have to ask you can't afford it, but this guy is over the top .😂😅
Dispelling a common myth in the reef aquarium community. Just to clear something up. Pomacanthus genus angelfish and those of the genus chaetodonplus are in reality spongivores. Acropora corals and other coral species are not on the menu for large angelfish. Their diet in the wild is almost entirely comprised of sponges and tunicates. The closest thing to coral they supplement their diet with would be zoanthids. Geniacanthus Angelfish are zooplankton feeders like anthias. The butterflyfish in Andrew’s collection are opportunistic omnivores. The heniochus genus are zooplankton feeders. Quoy’s Parrotfish scarus quoyi is reef safe unlike most other scarids. You’ll see many reef aquariums with this species of parrotfish. Nipping at the occasional coral doesn’t mean the fish are eating the coral. Some fish eat the coral mucus exuded from stressed corals. The Acropora and other sps corals in this reef aquarium are quite healthy with good polyp extension.
The zeroth reason it looks small might be a lack of reference in the video. I'm only two minutes in and wondering how many affordable tiny homes could be built for the price of this one tank & system. It's gorgeously over busy though. Kudos!
Theres a submerged bedroom in Asia, that would make a cool aquarium. Last time i saw it, it was a swimming pool with a large bed room, under a house on stilts.
It’s unreal. I love how it’s sunk in the ground. I wish that there was a little more soft corals that move. The coral are a little stagnant for my liking. But still unreal.
what an amazing video !! Really enjoyed hanging out with you guys and am proud to be your friend. Thank you for all you do ! Great job !!

Big reef tank owners are basically just water-treatment enthusiasts. The aquarium itself is just a nice bonus :P
I've been there. Andrew is quite hospitable and has an amazing set of tanks, staff and animals.
Best footage of his tank on UA-cam. Glad YOU shot it.
Thank you Tyler!
One of the best reef related videos i have seen. The tank itself is amazing, words cannot do it justice.
What a great pairing. I really enjoy you narrating this reef.
Thank you kindly!
Best video on this tank IMO!
Glad you think so!

So what do you guys think?
