It’s always pleasantly awkward when people ask me who my favorite guitar player is. It always ends up with me sending them links to a few of your vids. They’re always blown away. Thanks, Pete!
dude, that was a ridiculous composition. 😳👍👏 I can't remember ever bangin my head to a pedal demo! I was so pleasantly surprised by the drop to the Leslie B section and the breakdown building towards the riff again. Killa!! What a great way to show off that pedal!...and that composition should be a song!
I was thinking a Modulator Leslie type and octaver... I have a "octave patch" and Modulations on my Oceans 12 ...but this with it's superior mod control and fuzz is a no brainer. I'll likely get a third expression pedal for this and then can blend my gain/boost tones on my Strymon Riverside, My Oceans 12 and this Pedal, I'm kinda going away from presets and blending tones with expression. This was my last pedal an octave modulator...but throw in the octave controls the extra ones mod phase and fuzz..I think for now that is my Pedal Board set for a while. It's telling that Pete Thorn and Josh at JHS reviewed this the same day. Pete brings the best out of a Pedal. How does it sound Making Music is his ethos and much appreciated.
I have an MXR Sub Machine pedal which is cool, but this pedal seems far more versatile. The pedal in the demo isn't much like an MXR Blue Box. I like the Blue Box because it doesn't track well. I think of Buzz Osbourne of The Melvins when I think of the Blue Box. The pedal in the demo tracks way better and is doing something altogether different sounding than a Blue Box. Seems like the Poly Blue Octave is a great update to many sub-octave pedals. The ability to use it as a modulation box is really cool.
You know, Pete... I'm thinking I really need this pedal. The last time I said that, it was after watching your Digitech Freqout demo for the tenth time. And I did indeed shell out the cash for it. And I'm thinking I'm gonna shell out the cash for this one too. Killer demo, Pete.
I don't really have a use for this but boy oh boy it has some fun sounds! Theres that one solo you took where it sounds a bit like a farfisa organ or something. Very cool.
Your work is great as is your talent . that's out of the way. your demo of the pedal was top notch. Every thing about octive pedals octive fuzz pedals that I absolutely loath was present in the demo Thank you for demonstrating for me why I will never buy that pedal . I don't blame Pete for not doing a good job , because he did a great job, and I just don't have enough good taste to appreciate just how great that pedal is. Thanks Pete you saved me a chunk of change .
Thank you for the vid. I think I will get one coz I use POG2 and it takes time to make sounds that I like. MXR one seems easier for me. Oh this is an octave Fuzz pedal, though it was another octave pedals. my bad
A short hello to Pete and the whole gang. I'm in hospital right now for some weeks without Wlan. So only quick visits via mobile internet for me 🥺 Take care all and stay healthy.
Curious how it would sound on bass, no fuzz, dry + 1 octave up, touch of phaser mod. Could be a one-box replacement for a few pedals I use to get an 8-/12-string sort of sound.
@@PeteThorn ahhh...I was confused...lol..the power of technology and forethought...I hope you are really enjoying your tour...I'll bet u are exhausted in that satisfying sort of way we all work toward...be careful brother..wish u the best as always
Yeeeea, killer riff. Pete Thorn kills it again, love it! - And that pedal is sick. I want one, soon. Is there a market for my used pedals? I have a small neat pile of killer stuff. Some with free Velcro backing and relic embellishments.

Thanks Pat!
Pete is the Tom Cruise of pedal demo hosts - the dude has style and his compositions and explanations are simply best in class.
And he does all his own stunts!
That's a really strange thing to say.
That’s not a compliment!
So, not at all like Tom Cruise?
Jason Bateman 😂?
First time here for the premiere! JHS just did an intro on this pedal too. ‘Twas sick!
Pete, can you drop another album? Love your writing and playing!
Ya I think it’s time.
I've been eying this and the glee you display convinced me. I've got this pedals-are-synths concept going on....
I just purchased this pedal last week. Also eight JHS 3 SERIES Pedals.
How Pat Travers used the blue box with the ada flanger, I've still never heard anything else like that.
That upper octave poly mode is my fav sound and (or is it because) I think it sounds very Mellotron flute-esque… love the whole intro track too!

Have you reviewed the Walrus SLO? Thanks for another awesome and informative vid!!
Thank you for showing it on bass even if for just a moment it really helps
You always have the nicest haircuts. Respect.
Mr Thorn I Love You Guitar Playing Definitely Love To Watch You Play Thanks
Comfy wear alert!
Great song, as always!
That Leslie mode would work if you had to cover that demented warbly Farfisa organ in Syd Barrett-era Pink Floyd.

Sounds like an old ZOOM 9020 Octave + Boss HR-2 + Roland GR30 Synth + EH B9 + POG . Your Vids are always great. My Neighbors Love them too...
That tune is great! Hope you're having fun in the UK.
Pete , you look like that cool College Professor
Pete, wonderful demo. I could see myself "expanding" my tone with this as well. You're the coolest.
Thanks!

Killer demo, Pete.
Nice playing, tones, Pete! Dig the glasses….Chris Murphy from Sloan would approve 🤜
GOTTA BE ...One of my Favorite effects. Great Demo Pete. CHEERS BRO!

Pete, you kill it every time!
Best demo of this pedal I’ve seen! 👍
Lovin the 70’s vibe on this track!
Hey I was wondering you seem to have your head wrapped around the evh tone pretty well could u try to get the 1982 eruption tone
Awesome great music song. Playing guitar 🎸 so sound. Great audio
So much ROYAL BLOOD in those tones, dude. You, sir, are AMAZING!
Great Explanations. Great Playing. The Great Pete Thorn.
I use the PT100 amp sim a lot. I dig it. Another great video Pete.
All of the tones were unbelievable, but that tone with the Les Paul… 🤤
Oh man Pete, I'd love to hear you rock a Diezel vh4 or Einstein and see what you think.
BEST GEAR VIDS as always Pete ! Can it do JUMP ??
Thing i like most about your vids is that you ´Talk To Us - Not At Us....´
Cheers from Madrid
Hey Pete, where did you get that clamp you're using on your desk for pedals?
Nice and very versatile pedal. But I prefer the Octaver Moai Maea from KMA Audio... Great also with distortion and fuzz. 🤘🙃
Bravo for the pedal.
Bravo for the demo ! 🙏
les paul in the beginning gave me Paul Gilbert vibes
Yup your video sold me on it.That thing sounds super phat
Looking sharp with the glasses!

This over the OC5? I was just debating the OC5 vs the Pitchfork and now this shows up sounding wicked with extras. 🤘😂🤦♂️🤔
Tonally, this wins!
Sick glasses, sicker playing.
Cool Man! Thank you ! You Rock!
Damn that intro was sickkk 🔥🔥
Very surprising versatility in that little box. Impressive! Also, fantastic playin' as always, Pete. ;)
Do I need to say it again? BEAST!! You’re the man Pete! Sounds amazing. Stop spending my money…
Thank you for the vid. I think I will get one coz I use POG2 and it takes time to make sounds that I like. MXR one seems easier for me. Oh this is an octave Fuzz pedal, though it was another octave pedals. my bad
It's an octave AND a fuzz pedal. You can you it anyway and that's why I love it
I have a 1974 Blue Box. its wicked
Love what you do Pete!!! You’re a monster abs an inspiration!! Keep going!!!
Pete! Just a great demo man!
Thanks Pete for another awesome vidoe on a pedal I need to spend my money own. 💰 = 🎸
Do I need other foot pedals to make that Fuzz tone work on that mxr poly blue? Help Please before I decide on buying the mxr.
Just got this pedal today and I can tell you right now it's a keeper. Fantastic sounds and flexibility. Becoming a big fan of MXR.
Can it sound like an Octavio?
Yooo what humbucker is in your strat? That’s the shit
Sounded rather Wolfmotherish…probably exactly the type of songs that suit this…among others.
Sounds phenomenal! You did it justice Pete. 😎👍
A short hello to Pete and the whole gang. I'm in hospital right now for some weeks without Wlan. So only quick visits via mobile internet for me 🥺
Take care all and stay healthy.
Get well soon!
great demo Pete..
Is the pedal entirely digital, or just the octave part?
My next pedal
Sounds like a great new pedal :)
2seconds in
This man knows how to octave I recall. :D
How do you make everything sound amazing?!
Plug it in and rock!! Thanks!
Always knew Pete was a big CKY fan.

Can confirm that this pedal KILLS on bass! All effects are tuned for use on both G&B.
2:12 😂 It’s totally blue
Hi Pete where do you place this pedal? Thanks for the answer
I’d probably put it close to 1st or 1st in chain
I’ve been binge watching videos on this pedal, and this is the best one yet! Sorry Josh, you’re taking a 2nd place on this one!
Hey Pete! Are u coming from Europe w this demo?! Busy guy...sounds unreal,.
Must feel good to be home... 😂...glad to see you still in one piece... killer demo as always..ty man
Edited it while on tour in UK… still over here…
@@PeteThorn ahhh...I was confused...lol..the power of technology and forethought...I hope you are really enjoying your tour...I'll bet u are exhausted in that satisfying sort of way we all work toward...be careful brother..wish u the best as always
One of those things I think, too much nuttiness. I don't need it. Then Pete demos it and I go, on the other hand...
Its a shame this doesn't have midi
Love the octave's
Damn. That is one cool pedal. 🤘
Yeeeea, killer riff. Pete Thorn kills it again, love it! - And that pedal is sick. I want one, soon. Is there a market for my used pedals? I have a small neat pile of killer stuff. Some with free Velcro backing and relic embellishments.
Incredible track with a weird pedal.
Pete could somehow make the Fart pedal epic. It’s the demo we all need.
Bluetiful!
Anyone know what the dimensions are?
Same size as phase 90
@@PeteThorn Sounds perfect, thank you! And killer jams as always
Very cool
That sweater looks like that commercial trying not to be your parents. Still a good video Pete!
Sounds good! I have no interest in one but making think twice.
THAT IS WICKED
Wild!
Sounds massive
I need a shower after that.
Mmmh irs ok pete too robotic 4 me the boss octave 2 is still my favourite pete...
Fat Riff
