- My hair turned GREEN! I wanted to try something new and I need to tone my hair again. So I decided to try and make a light pastel by diluting and old manic panic jar I had in my cupboard. Didnt work.
I’m not a licensed colorist. Just an experimenter.
Be careful and do everything at your own risk.
It turned out green bc you started with a more yellow base hair color rather than light blonde...either way it looks good!💗

Forgot to mention the reason there is a variation in the color is because I applied it on wet hair. Thank you for watching! 😘
It varies in colour because your hair is also super yellow. Try toner to get rid of yellow first. So it's not green lol

Your hair was yellow/orange to begin with. Yellow and blue makes green.
Yes, I’m aware of that. But it’s not that simple. I chose a blue base direct deposit dye because of the orange. When trying to eliminate or tone down orange you need to use blue. My hair was mostly a level 9 (yellow). So because it is a direct deposit dye I was expecting it to tone out the orange and not mix with the yellow base color because there is no opening of the follicle. I think it could have worked if I had chosen the right dye. But this particular dye was a turquoise which has green undertones. If I had chosen a dark blue with violet undertones it would have not been green.
Yellow + blue= green!
I think you didn’t have enough turquoise blue 😂 😂
If you would of dyed it Normally it would have gotton to the blue you wanted in about 4 washes and maybe should have bleached

I think you missed the part where I explained that I did end up putting on the undiluted dye because the one I mixed with conditioner looked so bad. I think my hair was just too yellow and the turquoise is a bit green/blue already so my hair just looked a lot more green than blue. Thanks for watching and commenting! 💕
