Very few of them are full time strongman. Most of them have jobs at least for the first half of their career. Mitch is in that bracket, he just finished his first year competing internationally.
Lol why wouldn’t they be able to work😂 not even close to the amount of effort required to bodybuild at the highest of pro level and 99 percent of us have jobs too.
@@Marcel16DM Mitch absolutely doesn't need to work a day job. Not even considering sponsors, he has made a VERY healthy salary in his first year of competing, just from prize money.
The run Mitchell has been on these past several months is unreal. He seems like a humble dude and I wish him nothing but the best of luck in his upcoming events.
This dude is super chill yet he's such an incredibly accomplished athlete, you can tell he's got his mindset down pat. Wishing nothing but the best for him
He’s so easy to relate to, just seems like a completely normal and awesome guy to be around, yet he’s one of the best athletes in the world. Absolutely incredible.
love the bag of milk so damn canadian! as a canadian i couldn't be happier having you represent our country in strongman and bringing us the first win ever. much respect champ!
I'm so impressed with his sports journey. From all the different team sports, to bodybuilding, marathon running, powerlifting, and now to strongman. Wow. Kudos to him and his range.
Crazy to see the worlds strongest man treats his food like the rest of us normals. Just more of it. Doesn’t even really count all of his macros, just the important stuff. And the fact that he does a regular 9-5. Really feel like we could all become the worlds strongest man. Awesome video
It is really a different kind of routine that I used to watch about strongmen… Usually they eat all the video and have a workout, but glad that it was a true routine. This man has a life lol, it’s amazing. Didn’t know him and now looking forward to watch more videos about him!
Its so nice and refreshing to see a normall guy go so far so fast and to know its acheievable if you just be consistent. Kudos to you mitchell and keep up the good work
I loved the nutrition advice! It really is so simple but it can be made so complex that you don’t know where to start. The reason most never achieve their goals is likely due to anxiety and a lack of that deeper understanding of what you are trying to accomplish. Great video Mitchell!
Unreal. If you compare this to Thor or Brian with their own gyms, no day jobs & perfected diet plans and here is Mitchell eating cookings in the morning, eyeballing food, hitting a workout in a regular gym while working 9 to 5. Excited for the future.
I think he has a totally different mentality towards nutrition. Everyone has different caloric needs- I feel like he’s pretty in tune with what he needs and calls himself out when he under feeds (like in the workout) . Very interesting comparison for sure I thought the same .
@@muscleandstrengthstrongmen like thor and shaw are also significantly larger than him, so by default they just need a higher caloric intake so it checks out tbh.
For sure - when we filmed Brian he was really enjoying the Vertical Diet . His calorie intake was high - and all from Whole Foods. It was a very expensive diet but the meals looked great
@@muscleandstrengthinterestingly, Shaw was pretty disappointed in his strength results with vertical and Stan and went back to Nathan Payton. Also, Mitchell's diet is both much more practical and balanced along with being more suited to someone who is 6'3"-4" and 300-320 instead of 6'8" and up to 440 like Brian and Thor. Eddie, despite being a similar height to Mitchell, relied heavily on raw, static strength and felt he needed a much higher bodyweight.
The absolute top tier athletes usually has a background filled with multiple sports and activities. That being said, Mitchell's got a physical talent for sure.
I had no idea he worked a day job while competing as worlds strongest man, nothing but respect for him
Right?! Respect the grind
What? Most of them do.

I love how he emphasized having a back up plan if his career were to end.
So important to think this way!
His career IS going to end. Very few Mark Felixes out there. You need to know what you are going to do after 40.
“Contributing to the world more than your taking for it”beautiful put sir 💪🏾💯❤️
💯
you're taking from it.*
Unreal how fast he has come up. Imagine where he’ll be in a couple of years!
Took him two years to be worlds strongest man from under 200lbs, I assume he’ll be strongest Mars man a few years from now
Logically given his history he'll be doing something else not strongman.
Dead? I've never seen such garbage supplement nonsense from an athlete.
@@YetAnotherRetardedYTUpdate strongman is already crossfit just very heavy crossfit 🤣🤣🤣
A gram and a half of caffeine ?? 5 five hours wow
Humble and hard working. Praying he has the best year in strongman.
Every Video I see of Mitchell I just have more and more respect for him like how could you not, Very impressive.
I love how humble he is and that he gives back to others despite his status. The man is truly inspiring.

i was struggling to piece it together
I was wondering that the entire video!
I think his mother is British, might need correcting on that.
One the realest and most humble dudes. Love his realistic approach to his diet and life in general
This guy is truly a freak athlete in every sense of the word
Amazing talent
Golfer, football, marathon runner, power lifting, body building and strongman in one life is crazy
This Guy is a animal, what a athlete
When he spoke about the sports and how well he did in them all I was amazed . Just truly an all around incredible athlete
Dudes smart he’s got it figured out
After seeing this that i think im terms of combined skill/genetics/athletic potential this guy is probably the best humanity has to offer
Love how humble he is. Like Brian shaw. He deserves every bit of success he earned and will earn.
Hooper and Bumstead taking Canada to new heights. Both class acts.
In his achievements you can tell even after the career Brian Shaw has had,how much it meant to Mitch that he was able to beat him in a group stage.
3:04 he's so strong he just walked through that giant sign

Double scooping pre with an energy drink is actually insane

They should be!
Nothing screams Ontario more than bagged milk!!!
It's great how no nonsense your training lifestyle is. You explain things very succinctly. Awesome job!!
Crazy how fast he’s come up in strongman and how little he eats compared to pretty much all other world class strongman competitors
