If you watch the ESPN interview Arteta did, he speaks about the small margin we need to start closing. He said from 90% to 1%, so if Raya is 1% better than Ramsdale, Raya is going to play. That's the kind of attitude the club must adopt if we want to compete at the top level in Europe.

27m was agreed before last season not after which is why we got that price. Ramsdale is also 3 years younger than ray and homegrown/english. Easy 30-40 mil.

We're talking about a third place GK in the last year of his contract, for whom Arsenal offered to pay what his current team payed to get him. If there's no one else looking to buy the player why would anyone in their right mind make an offer that is 2000% higher than cost? One would think Robbie would have enough business and economics sense to understand this.

We pay the most on transfer fees and get less for our outgoing transfers. Also, the contracts we give to our new signings and renewals are ridiculous. If we don't win anything major, we will be stuck with an expensive mediocre team. And then it starts all over again. Edu trying to sell players like Havertz, Jesus, Zinchenko and Martinelli😂 We need a proper director of football. That's the most important organ of a football club.
