In the early 90s I attended the than Diharoa Community School just opposite the Kila Police Barracks and this gentlemen would rehearse during the day. Whilst watching this and listening to the Wan Kantri tune really brought back some childhood memories. Thank you for sharing.
back in the late 60's , we used to go to ela beach & listen the police band play at the rotunda. brings back many memories of my child hood in port Moresby. it was one of the best times of my life, miss those days. thankyou for posting. cheers from Brisbane.
Ah cymbals man, always the highlight of the show. I remember you sir, one time during a performance at the Sogeri National High school's singsing, you gave your conductor's stick to one of the audience and told him to conduct the police band.
If only the constabulary still maintains the momentum and commitment like how it was back then. Though the video is some time back, just watching it gives me pride! I hope the constabulary can revive the police band and give back its former glory. The pride of PNG. 😊
this is my childhood. i grew up next to the Kila Polica Barracks and would sit and watch as they practice all these songs every single day. the dress rehearsal was the best and went to school with of many of these policeman's children. thank you Keith
You are very welcome, the best days of my life were spent with the one and only ''Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary'' Band from 1994-99. Will never forget them, will always be in my heart!
Brings me back to childhood memories when they came and performed at the Primary school I attended in Port Morseby. I really enjoyed it! Love this performance! ❤
Simply awesome! I always love listening to the PNG Royal Constabulary Band. The "One country " tune brought a tear to my eyes, thinking of Late John Wong. And the performance by the RaunRaun Theatre is very impressive as always. Thanks for sharing.
We can do this again. Those performers put the pride of PNG first. Hard work and commitment led to this world class performances. Thank you for bringing back fond memories 👍

Thank you I got to see my Grandfather Jerome Haramu Performing and My Late Uncle Rueben Duma in action.
Very sad that Rueben has passed on. Was he a Cornet/Trumpet player?
@@MrKeithterrett Thank you, my Grandfather Jerome Haramu is still well and alive. My late uncle Rueben Duma passed on.
Rueben the Cornet player?
Beautiful rhythm on the traditional dance PNG. Superb from Fiji .
Not from Fiji, the dancers are from the Raun Raun Theatre in PNG.
