Thank God there are still men like Harrison Butker in the world. My dad was the one who made sure we got to Mass every Sunday and Holy Days. Fathers play a large part in their children’s religious up bringing.

As a full time working woman, my greatest accomplishment and greatest joy has been being a mom to five fantastic kids. I cannot imagine any mother not believing that having children has been the ultimate vocation. Yes, I still have a career. Yes, I love my work. Yes, what I do is important. Salvation is done through faith, but salvation isn't a single moment, it is a continual process that grows us closer to God over the course of our lives. But that's exactly what it is. Dumb violence, that perfectly encapsulates the majority of these scenarios. It's not half the problem it's a majority of the problem stemming from fatherlessness. The true problem isn't guns it's people and their weak sensibilities. It's really easy to say it's guns because then you don't have to fix broken homes or address mental health in any serious way.
