Love that you changed the reefer 250 to something a bit more attainable for most folks and the rock work looks amazing! Looking forward to seeing it grow out
@@fragboxcorals how do we get a free T-shirt :) Lovely video btw, Its surprising how many questions I'm asked just while looking at fish, or coral at the LFS. The fist question is always how hard it is compared to Fresh water. Lots of people are overwhelmed when they're looking at all those pretty stony corals, that require so much more than your average softy!
I cannot tell how I've found your channel. For me as a newbie to the hobby, you are a source of knowledge paired with humour that I didn't know I was actually looking for :D. Keep it up!
I haven’t been much in the hobby but I watch your videos every day now! And you’re giving me so many ideas and important info about corals! Wish I can visit one day! Bring some nice Torches to Italy since they can’t import them anymore :(
So I'm new to this, and have been doing research for a month now. I have not been able to find this rock formation I'm in the usa do you guys deliver to the usa? I'd love to order this formation its exactly what I had in mind when I was thinking of my tank setup.
did you ever figure out what kind of damsels those were at 45 seconds??? I have one that was given to me, pink/purple, with yellow/orange fins and a blue line through the eye similar to honey damsel, but it doesnt go all the way to the back. cant figure out what it is
Could you please help me with my zoa coral open for a week then closed up went white and looked like the melted away. Parameters all seem OK. Be very appreciated if you could reply. Kind regards
Hey March the ninja star snails are actually a type of astraea snail not turbos. Haven’t had much luck with them tho the first one I had got eaten by a angry hermit and the second one I had never moved it stayed in one spot for weeks and weeks it was alive but never moved so hopefully I can grab a few more some day and those will do better haha there just kinda hard to find near me gotta buy them online 😂😂🤦🏼🤦🏼🔥🔥🔥👍🏻
...BUT Tia's beautiful aquascape she put so much work into with the branches! I've never had a problem with a long nosed hawk jumping. Will you ever ship the Biota Yellows? I'm just in Stratford.
Have you done an update yet? You said that you would be posting a video once a month to document the growth on the zoa garden. I am really curious to see that...
I love the new setup 😍 👌 i.m doing a 30 gallon floating reef I call it Out Of Space thank I spray painted the cabinet to Mach my tank I will post it soon on my channel 😀 I want long tentacle sea urchin and I'm putting 10 banggai cardinal
I stumbled on this video....Is that you March? You never introduced yourself and sound bit different. Cool that you started some videos. Love the casual video commentary format. Always more fun to visit your great store in person but this helps till I get the chance. BTW, good tip on the Import Ban....I have to start splitting up my Euphelia investments into separate tanks too. All the best...till next time. WallyB
Regarding the EU ban of imports, its the "zeitgeist" (the trend) and your reaction is smart. Grow and propagate, it's our future. Keep on with the good work. Thank you
Mesh helps a lot with gas exchange but also a solid sheet of glass or polycarbonate will trap moisture and create water drops which can scatter light and cause diffraction.
Ay yo please do a video on what corals are fine next to each other. So many videos on coral warfare but nothing on which corals are fine touching to make a nice garden or island
Hey love your videos! You think you can give me some advice? I have a innovative marine 40 gallon with a hydra 32 and a Nero 3. Do you think that’s enough light and enough flow? I’m thinking about adding a Nero 5 as well. Thanks again.
Lid idea is cool, but I feel like there are quite a few lid makers out there already. I got mine built by Kraken Reef and I've been incredibly happy with it! Any chance you'll open a store out west? :)
Been looking at setting up a reef tank, love the look of the mushroom rock. Then looked at the prices, avg. $50 x 18 shrooms = $900. plus maybe $300 for the zoas on the rock. yikes.
Just added a yellow tail damsel last weekend. Extremely territorial, instantly turned dark and stressed out all the other fish for 3 days straight. Beautiful when blue but I would never add one again.
Custom lids are a good idea but make sure the mesh on top is black. Clear mesh lids just reflect the light and makes the lid very obvious with a blue glow
The cespitularia you sold me has gone WILD in my tank. Went from a small frag to 10+ in maybe, five months? I'd almost consider it invasive but its easy to remove.
@@fragboxcorals lol. For real tho I know your other video you said you want to revamp the fluval evo. Try the sps dominant in that tank. It will look more full in a smaller tank. It’s tough in a bigger tank like you wanted before.
As soft/lps/sps are just hobby categories rather scientific theres quite a few species that are hard to put a label on like Pavona, Galaxea, Turbinarians, Hynophoranss, etc, which some ppl call LPS & others SPS. Personally I kinda put Gorgonias into their own category like sponges but theres no real written in stone rules & I'm certainly not an authority on the matter 😅
The EU ban is purely for some species out of Australia, not the rest of the world. And it's more a document thing that Australia doesn't have in order yet.
@@fragboxcorals NOoooo! Really? I can't find any farmers with these, I really want to get one to work so I can start supplying it locally. It is a great benefit for the local fishers!
Video idea: least invasive soft corals!! I know kenya tree and xenia grow like weeds and on the other hand pineapple tree coral and anthelia grow slower and less invasive.
Yes I would care about a bigger jail cell ......bad enough when you're in jail your living in a bathroom... So bigger is better..... Guess that a hard comparison.... because when we add human emotions in with animals it doesn't work just like ball pythons I breed I use a rack system because ball pythons feel comfortable in small dark spaces ... But with human emotions involved they want plants logs and huge tanks .... But it stresses the snake out .... I rather have a snake in a tub doing good instead of stressed and not thriving because I can't see into the tank

love this idea!! so easy for newbies to get overwhelmed by the cost & complexity of keeping stony corals.
rigth!
It's very intimidating for sure, I'm starting off with the easier stuff before I decide to get complicated coral and fish.
Leather and soft corals aren't boring, they are graceful and beautiful with wonderful movement, not like sticks.
This is such natural looking rock work. I love it. We're scaping our first tank this weekend, so I've been looking at other scapes like a hawk. :D
I love soft corals aquariums 😍.
Thanks for taking the time to share. Giving soft corals some love is appreciated. BTW you are using a photo of my 40g breeder as your thumbnail.

you cant not dose or water change with clams in there?will they not use up all the elements reducing alk etc.
Nice scape, very natural looking best one yet. I'll take that over flat plates all day long.
Hi can I ask do you have any tips for red sea pulsing xenia? Mine doesn't really grow and stopped pulsing after a few days. Thanks in advance
Love the yellow tangs! Do you quarantine the fish you bring in?
Perfect timing! Currently cycling my first ever reef tank (an Evo 13.5) and will def be coming in for some softies when it’s ready!
I also keep a 13.5 softie tank
I might of missed it if you said it. But you place them where you want it or you put them in and let them move. Sorry if dumb question I’m new to SW

what aquarium is beside the fluval flex?

Why does your lids have mesh and not just a full piece of polycarbonate sheet. Does it reduce par that much even if clean?
Mesh helps a lot with gas exchange but also a solid sheet of glass or polycarbonate will trap moisture and create water drops which can scatter light and cause diffraction.

Am I wrong that the tank in the video is not the super lush tank in the thumbnail?
How much for your yellow tangs?
What all do you recommend or do you run personally in your displays?
Try and get a really yellow Fiji yellow leather coral, Iv been trying to get one in the uk and can’t find one of yet
Hey March, what ATO was it again that you use?
Does the Cabbage coral come in "reddish" colors as well as green?
It also comes in beige.
Do you ship to oregon
The display tank is lookin fire!
You should re do one of the fluval nanos and make that an sps dominant tank
hmmmmmmmmmm
