Yes, we lit the table on fire by accident while filming this video. I cannot take my camera man anywhere these days. We headed back for a second time to Salt Bae's restaurant to check out the scene. Once again, it was completely empty but the employees and servers were fantastic. My hatred for Salt Bae runs deep, but I truly love his employees. They make this so difficult.

I run my own restaurant and work at another fine dining restaurant. I get more compliments at raft masters than fine dining. People are MIND blown by two secret tricks. As cooks we completely eat unfancy stuff and random things off the menu we think of.
People just want a visual and its overpriced.

Hey Chef, while we all know you're being light hearted while making this video, you do bring up a great point, going out and spending that kind of money on a meal like that is just absolutely out of this world. Most of us eat at home and prep food all week to save money. It would be really cool to see you do some videos of home cooked meals for the average joe, (excuse me if you have). Grab the basics from a normal grocery store and show us great and healthy meals but taste great and affordable at the same time. Far fetched, but if anybody can do it you can, love the videos keep up the great work.
Joshua Weissman makes a lot of videos that perfectly describe what you want.
I can barely afford most of what he cooks(for now) but he gives you the principles of cooking. I've learned so much just from watching him cook those crazy meals

I made the roasted garlic bread. It wasn't expensive, and I got some good parmesan that upped the price.
@@angryfirefly funny cuz even making roasted garlic bread is going to run you like 30$ lmao. You have to get a nice loaf of bread. I imagine he used a brioche. 8$ there. A solid 1lb block of good parmesan runs you 12$ easy. 4-5 cloves a garlic at a dollar a pop and that's close to 30 beans for mere garlic bread. Surely not affordable for the average joe. It's a mere compliment to an entree and it still runs you close to 30 lol.
