Oh I'm so sorry to hear that. I feel your pain. After Joel lost his job, he found out he had a unpaid student loan. He former boss had pledged to pay his tuition that semester and then refused to pay it after Joel was no longer working there. And unfortunately, because the tuition bill was being sent to his work address, we knew nothing about it until it was sent to a collection agency. So annoying! I know that you will figure this out! We'll be praying for you!
Uuughhh Sorry to hear about your situation with Joel's student loan when he lost his job. It's crazy how unethical some companies are....when you no longer work for them it seems like it becomes too hard from them to hind and is totally visible!
@ no worries. It’s all in the past now. It was the first debt that we paid off. 😃
Financial stress is a huge trigger for so many of us. My dad always said if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself, but that's not always possible when you have little yo no control of a situation. I hope that it all works out for you soon. Be gentle on yourself with overeating. Every day, every minute is a fresh start.
Thanks! And you are right, if you want it right do it yourself whenever possible...and if you can't do it yourself double check what others do because not everyone cares as much!

THAT is why I've been craving tomato soup.....it had just hit me out of the blue...but you are right, that is the ultimate cold weather comfort food and it's been cold lately!!!!

Big hugs Mary Fran so sorry your having these issues. Companies should be held accountable and the papers you signed upheld. You did not change companies they changed you. The legal system is so flawed. Well done on the room it looks greatxxx

Thanks! I am so ready to be done with everything related to my previous company. Getting laid off was bad enough, but all this 'post shenanigans' just makes it worse! But I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel....now just to find a job! :-)

EggNog Ice Cream is the bomb! Kinda sad to know that egg nog won't be back in the stores for another 11 months! I may have to try my hand at making my own egg nog!

Yes we are both in the same boat.....and as I know from your videos and you can tell from my emotions....it's not a boat that I would want to be in or want anyone else to be in. But here we are on the unemployed boat! I keep telling myself though......something bigger and better will come along .....our DREAM jobs! Until then we have to keep our chins up!
Oh girl (big big hugs) finances are so hard on a regular day. BUT This is a new start for you! Good bad or ugly its a fresh start. Think of it this way. You could have just lost that 8000 with the market dropping so look at it as a market drop and you have lots of time for it to climb back up. It will be ok. Just keep going and keep adding to it and it will all work out in the end. YOU HAVE TIME!!! Its going to be ok. I hate dealing with the DMV. I mean its paid off. What is the issue. Crazy!!! Is there a ladder you can climb down there?? Someone has to be able to deal with this. Great haul! Room is looking good. I hard this is hard but dont punish yourself for others bad behavior ( the job and the 401k and the DMV ). You are your only protector. If you hurt yourself with food you are only joining the crowd that is causing you stress. Be kind to yourself. Dont lower yourself to their level by providing yet another way that life is being crappy. You cant control the DMV and how it treats you. You cant control the job and how they treat you. You cant control the 401k issues. But you can control how you treat yourself. You deserve SOMEONE to stand up for you and help you so make that someone yourself. You deserve good health. You have earned good health. Fight for yourself and that goal of good health. If nothing else its the one thing right now you DO have the power to control. (big big hugs) Its only a bump on the long road of life. It will all be ok even if right now it seems just to big. ❤
Thank you so much for your comment. I will be honest, it touched me so much that it brought tears to my eyes, because you are right. I can't control the messes with the DMV and my car title or the un-cool things that my ex employer has done with so much including my 401K....but I CAN control how I respond....and by eating my way through that day I did the same thing to myself that all those other companies had just done. Thank you for that reminder!
So sorry about all the issues with the 401K and car title. It doesn't make sense that they won't release your car title. I'm a stress eater too.

This must be the weekend for me you and some other people our age to have a hard time with this thing we call life . That is terrible what they did with your money.
I think you are right. I was talking to a friend today and she was saying the same thing that she is in a stage in life where these things are happening! Must be something in the air!!!! But we are all going to persevere and make it through this with our heads held high!
