R707, P20 & T413 arrive at Castlemaine on 8095 707 Ops. Special- 14/9/24

- A short video from Castlemaine on the 14th of September 2024 to see the arrival of a 707 Operations' special tour arriving with R707 leading P20 and T413.
The two diesels were on their first trips in several years, the P having been donated by Pacific National and repainted in its' original V/Line livery as part of its' reactivation works while T413 had been out of action for rust repairs and got a new coat of VR blue and featuring ARC logos on the ends in a nod to its' former life as D1 working at Fyansford.
Trains seen in order are:
8095- R707, P20 and T413

See Robbie? I told you P20 was preserved. It nearly escaped the cutting torch and now has a bright future ahead with 707 operations.
P20 and T413 look great. P20 still hasnt got an ICE Radio so it can't lead. 707 operations has the skills when it comes to restoration and preservation and operation of Victorian steam and diesel
Wonder if the Castlemaine Gaol is still running up there on the hill? Went to school with a boy whose dad was a warder there. T413 looks great, love the original VR colours!
Not sure on that, I remember visiting there a good 15 or so years ago myself with the family.
Unfortunately '413 wasn't running as well as it looked, gave a few problems on the day. P20 meanwhile looked great and apparently ran well too!
