Love it. If you like this album listen to "Boards of Canada". Much influence here. Could almost say a direct rip of the style but Justin is a very competent composer and pulls it off very well. Love it.

I dont know how you think its a rip off at all. Apart from using the same instrumentation. Compositionally its completely different, just uses warm analog synths

Should have been more specific. The tracks "it's not what you think" , "Isotope" and "Red Cabin" use the boc style of pitch variability. And they are harmonically and texturally very boc.

But the thing is: Walter doesn't use analog synths, it's all electronic valve instruments and trumpets... That's why it sounds so familiar yet so different.
