I bought one of these 5 years ago in Adelaide, Aust, but mine was a natural finish. Two of the neck inlays have popped out; I was annoyed at that. I took the pickup covers off; I did not like the metal ones. I've used it for hundred of gigs around the world I still love it !!
I have a similar guitar with virtually identical specs , just experiment , i even placed a trem on it , the bottom line is , if it sounds right, use it .
so it's built exactly like an ES guitar.....but shaped like a Les Paul........and costs HOW MUCH??? Really?? If you want a smaller bodied ES guitar, get an ES339!! Built exactly to the same spec, but 40% of the price!

Yeah, fantastic guitars.
Brian, does the Gibson Les Paul ES pickups have four conductor wiring options? Please advise. Thanks.
Nice playin
sweet tone...I want one...and I gather the amp--which I also want--is a Friedman Brown eye..?...I'll look it up...thanks
Can you play metal with it ?
Metal? no but any form of rock yes. For metal look at les Paul prophecy
I play metal with an es-335 so....

Sir, Is there a hollow les paul electric guitar with a whammy bar??
You can now get a top mounting floyd rose for stop tail bridges. No routing required
So the body is not mahogany but maple. And is not solid but plywood? And the cost is...?
Axel Alvarez 32 hundred USD. And Fender makes guitars with the same range, a solid body, and under a third of the price.
+Axel Alvarez It's essentially an ES-335, but shaped like a Les Paul. $3,299 USD. Price is in the same ballpark as a 335.
I see, I think I like the ES 336 much better for that cost...
So you are a moron
Almost not fair playing it through a Friedman Brown Eye; not much you could plug into that thing that would not sound good through that thing.

It's right about $3,500. depending on what finish you want on it.
A great gtr but It will never have that shimmering fat LP treble
You can get any sound you want out of this guitar or any ES-335,345,355 ... Take your pick!!
Never say never.
