I love her unique voice as an upbeat vibrational resonance in awakening the souls of others. It is her unusual experience of another culture that she experiences as a Westerner. Her experience as one minority living in Africa, she fuses this creative expression of it. Truly beautiful 🤲🏿✨️🤲🏾💖🧡💛💚💙💜🪘🎶🔆🌙🍃
After listening much to the 'radio'? version and loving it, I recently discovered this extended version... Oh my god, why isn't this one everywhere? The last part adds so much depth and feeling. Love from spain.
The short version of the song is a bit sad and nostalgic, but overall optimistic. It's about her being alone, but is asking him to come, and she sounds pretty convinced he will.... This version however adds another part, that I read being another chapter or a layer in her psyche. We hear the optimism go away and just the sadness remaining, that turns into madness as she asks him to come come come come... And then anger comes in as she realizes: he's not coming.
I think of this song as a part 2 to the shorter version. Because it goes from hopeful in the shortened song to a much more somber tone in the extended version. It also slowly gets more and more aggressive as the song goes on. Kind of like the stages of grief in a way.
Listening to this version makes me sad. It sounds like she came in to the studio with this version and label made her shorten it, make it more optimistic and "happy sounding" because this one wouldn't have sold that well. For me this version is far more interesting and inspired but i guess the one that came out on the album provided her with comercial sucess, so hopefully she'll get a chance to create anything she wants now.

And the Souldier album is the proof of that! I've been so in love with her art, she is so authentic and her music reaches another level of creativity, she sounds so international, so futuristic in a special way!
Not the label. The label is Spookland, aka Yodelice and Yodelice is the paragon of artistic freedom. It's the radio. Songs about 3' long are more likely to be widely broadcast. It's an artistic choice for marketing, she's an artist so she has to make choices to be sure she earns what she deserves, don't be sad, her label is the best thing that might have happened to her in the last 10 years :) :)
