Looks like a new cape is in order. Something with a wire for maximum possibility. Maybe repaint the green parts with glow in the dark or fluorescent paint.
i have no doubt skelegod will look cool in the show but the toy implementation by mattel leaves something to be desired. just doesn't really work as a cohesive whole for me. feels like a bunch of disparate pieces done in different styles, stuck together. by the way, skeleplasm is a cool word you made up :)
Absolutely picking this one up! Unfortunately didn't see it in Target when I was there earlier, but this review has me extra excited to hunt one down! Really cool that all the armor and stuff is removable as well.
I like the cape except for the light purple outer part... might just cut that off and then I'll be a happy camper.................Also.. Im convinced skelegod was in the trailer.. he was without the helmet and its just power sword powered up skeletor with the green smoke / energy around him and he shoots out the green skulls magic... Some are saying they think its scareglow but I bet 20$ its skelegod without the helmet.. heck this might of been the design 2 years ago and they changed it on the toon to no helmet since then.. changes happen a lot when toys dont have time to also make the change.
The problem with alternate Skeletor designs is that the first one is perfect. You can tweak it a little. But that's it. Even there there were some variants that were cool, they still failed compared to the awesome original design. On the other hand, having heard how the Netflix show is going, the fact that Skeletor won't have his classic look for much of the show is good for me, makes me less interested. Win/win.
Shiz is on the tip of the spear for toy recon as usual, big thanks for the video! Just me, but I think this figure looks fantastic in all aspects. So thankful that Mattel did away with their usual type of torso pose as they have been using it for years. Thanks again for the review!
Man bud thanks if it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't have got this figure as soon as I seen this video pop up on my timeline I clicked on it screenshot that UPC code ran down to my local Target store pick them up easy. Thank you brother keep it going and I'm a sucker for packaging too my closet is filled with boxes but keep it up and keep it going thank you. Now I can grab me a cup of coffee and sit back and relax now
Skelly, Havoc Staff, Sorceress & Castle Grayskull (shoulder/wrist/loin armor looks to be Zoar, knees are Castele Grayskull) all in one. He obviously kills her and gains the castles powers and absorbs them :-)
I'm excited for the new show and to collect this new line, but I hate to sound like a snob but even with the pinless joints I still think the Classics line looks better. But time will tell I'm sure I'll love this new line for different reasons. Supposedly the Mattel license for MOTU will go to Universal after 2022 according to the Spector Creative channel and as sad as it will be to not have Mattel making these figures anymore. With some of the fan art out there I think McFarlane could really go crazy with this line down the road some day.

Target claims that mattel did not send out stock and will not except for the Skelegod and here in chicago they had 1 for over 100 miles.

Nice figure. Waiting for He-Man, Evil Lyn, and Moss Man. All 3 will be used as villains! He-Man as evil Heracles, not Hercules in my Dark Avengers. Evil Lyn as White Haired Witch in my Female Furies. Moss Man as evil Swamp Creature. I always need more villains!
looking forward to this figure. i don't care about the agenda filled show i just want the toys i can't wait to get the battle cat, saw a video on it and that thing is sweet!!! And I'm looking forward to the rest of the figures in the line. and yeah sure i hear they're a little bit on the big side, but I don't care I can make it work. lol
Very cool figure indeed, but the head is a little too small, the massive shoulder armor doesn't help.... but that cape is just AWFULL, it looks like a kid would do if you gave him some purple papers and a pair of scissors!!!
