    Thanks for the detailed information!! Truly made it simple to set up my Trex 500!! Now the only thing I'm unsure about is the throttle and pitch curves... I tried watching one of your older videos but not sure if the same applies when using the 7200bx... Could you either tell us or if you've already made a video for it send the link??
    Thanks in advance and thanks again for the great videos!!!

      So this will heavily depend on the motor and ESC you are using. If you have a build in GOV then you have to follow the needed curves for that. If you are using stand alone or V curves then you can set them manually in the radio. For example the Hobby Wing ESC uses flat curves to let the GOV monitor the RPM and make adjustments as needed.

      @@33forsaken Hi buddy, I finally had a chance to change out the main shaft on my Blade 400, I take her out for a quick flight, and decided I didnt want to take a chance after what happened the last time. I then went ahead and changed out the stock gyro to the GY 401, I am still.using the stock tail servo and was trying to adjust the gain settings with the collective stick either hard left or right and in the hold position to try and center the servo, but after a few seconds the servo horn would move towards the tail rotor, any thoughts on this issue , Thanks !

    hey man great videos, i'm new to the hobby also. Quick question, on the beast x when you select the G-setting for swashplate leveling and servo setting your 90's. do you set your servo arms in neutral before cycling through the servos?

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  3 роки тому

      I do go over this topic in the setup video series. Basically you want to enter the menu, select a servo put the arm on and apply trims if needed. Then move the next and the next, once you cycle back to neutral you may notice they change because it ignores the trims. So in menu G I always make sure to select one servo right when entering and also when exiting this menu.

    Hi, thanks for this video, I have a Trex 450 with AR7200BX, I configured it all as per your instructions, but the pitch even though it’s set to 9.5 degrees both positive and negative and very close to zero degrees at centre stick, it seems to be crazy and moving the sticks a couple of notches on the transmitter is making the heli behave very erratically.
    Do you have any ideas why that would be? E.g. if I move the pitch a tiny bit to positive for the heli to climb, it’s starts to climb extremely fast, if I then move the stick back to where it was instead of the heli going back to a hover, it starts to slam toward the group like I have negative pitch of 9/10 degrees.
    I have other Trex with mini K-Bar fbl system and it doesn’t behave like this.
    Any ideas?

      @@themachine225 do you maybe have any videos or clips I could reference? Each system does have different feels and settings for each pilot. Also it good to review your head speed settings as well. I would also recommend to revisit each menu and insure it’s all set up for each parameter. The small the Heli the more sparatic they can feel as well, however the AR 7200 feels amazing on all platforms. I would have to say it just needs a little more love in the programming :)

      @@33forsaken hey Freddy, thanks for getting back to me, I have reviewed everything and still getting the same issue. Using parameter menu E I am able to reduce and increase the issue depending on my settings. But essentially what is happening is that the pitch it too slow at responding. So for example, if I am hovering, then I slam the pitch to full
      Positive, the heli just sits there for about 3 seconds before it start to climb. Once is starts to climb if I then put the stick back to middle it takes another 3 seconds or so for the heli to stop climbing. So there is a delay but it’s only on the pitch, the cyclic and rudder are fine.
      I think this is a fault in the unit as i bought it second hand. But just wondering if you have any final comments before I looking at buying a new one. Thanks again

      @33forsaken  Місяць тому

      @@themachine225 what are your throttle curve settings ? I am wondering ( please forgive me if I am way off ) but is there a chance that you’re not running your motor on a fixed RPM and instead variable points ? Basically is your throttle increasing in speed as your pitch also increases, and slows down when you decrease ? Basically I guess I am asking is if your using your idle up ( fixed RPM) when getting this delayed or spongy feel.

      @@33forsaken thanks for getting back to me, and for your ideas. I was using fixed rpm but I think the issue is the unit itself. Hello
    I just watched your video. I’m setting up a TRex 700E V1 with a beast X plus, firmware version 4.1. I’m using a DX8 radio. I do not plan on setting up a stunt one or stunt to just normal flying for the time being my question is I’ve been through the set up many times double and triple checked everything I’ve done everything so much. I’m almost starting to get confused, but when I did the 6° if I remember right, I was getting the 6° with negative pitch, but I could not get it with positive pitch. (I could have this backwards.) when I moved to the next step, I gave myself positive -12.5° one thing I didn’t notice while watching your videos is I was not on a servo when I did these I was at the neutral position within those steps, will that make a big difference? I would really like to get this bird in the air but I’ve had so much difficulty and mishaps. I’m extremely nervous about everything being correct. If there’s anyway that I can talk to you in more detail personally if you’d be willing to help me out, I would greatly appreciate it, thank you for your time, patience, and help
    George.

    Hey Freddy, great video as always. I'm having a problem setting up my Trex 500X with the MicroBeast. In Menu E: Rudder Servo Limit, I'm able to set the limits including the Purple/Red light cues. When I get out of the setup and startup my DX9 and Heli in flight mode, the tail servo barely moves? I've tried resetting the limits but it doesn't change anything.
    Also F: Gyro Servo Rudder Direction, when I swing the heli with my hands right/left to see if the blades are compensating with opposing direction, it works in this menu but not when I’m in flight mode, is this correct? The swashplate works when moving it around but not the tail. Thanks.

    Step J is giving me one issue. Everything in step G is perfect, and 0 degrees of pitch, but when I head over to J, the blades are at -5 degrees, not 0 degrees. I'm still able to get the blue light at 6 degrees, but any ideas on why my unit is jumping to -5 degrees at the start, and does this affect the settings? The pitch curve is linear, and I think the only thing I haven't tried is putting the dual rates all at 100, they were already set to lower numbers according to the flight mode.

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  4 роки тому

      You should have no duel rates added at all, no sub trims, and everything completely default basically for the radio. Besides the Gyro gain for the rudder, the only other menus you really use are throttle curves, and pitch curves. The rest is done in the system. Also what make and model is your Heli? maybe you can send me a videos via FB messenger or text and I can take a look.

      @@33forsaken Hi thanks for the detailed response! I have a couple of old Blade 300x's with a lot of aftermarket and microheli parts that I'm dusting off and rebuilding. Actually watching your video carefully really helped. I didn't know in step G you had to exit with a servo selected. That's why when I went to step J it hadn't saved my work from G (for zero pitch). But I have to repeat everything w/no dual rates. I had no idea about the rudder setup, about putting the gryo on negative to center the servo, I think that's really going to help. I have 2 questions (1) For a linear pitch curve in J, does that mean a diagonal straight line, or flat staight (as in values set to zero)? And (2) Step K says you shouldn't have a pitch curve does that mean set the transmitter to a flat line with no values, or all 100? Thanks!

    I'm getting even readings on my heli all around except on the right side. That side seems to have a higher pitch. not the blade just the right side of the heli. Is that because the swash isn't perfectly level as I'm not using a swash leveler.
