With all due respect but this never happened. The Iraqi government never offered him that amount of money & this was FACT CHECKED. No need to lie to our people. So he took 50k of Sargis Aghajans Money from the Kurds to sing for Ishtar but refused 9 Million from Iraq??? C’mon….let’s
I understand what your trying to say. I cant agree with you about that one. Don't forget that all times are not in same conditions. Maybe at that time he had a lot of visits to Iran.
Iraq and Iran were enemies back than The whole world had their eyes on saddam . Last but not least, the patriotism that Evin Aghassi lived for makes it very believable and understandable that he would never sell himself. Patriotism at that time was at its highest level, since We had big hope that once saddam would fall We would take our rights back. You probably are not that involved in patriotism and politics to be able to understand things from different angles. Dont also forget Aghajan was an Assyrian and according to many he had a good personality. Many church leaders before Evin Aghassi accepted this mans offers , why would there be a reason for Evin not to? Aghajan made no demands as the Baath did, after all.
