I bought my new pair of Fairtex, which is the BGL-6. I had the bgv21 (sold it), but a realize it didn’t have the grip bar on the fist area and it was too similar to my Red BGV1. I’m looking forward to have these BGL6 (laced version of the bgv6), it is coming to Brasil, from amazon. I find it, on UA-cam and other medias, that the bgl6 is superior for wrist support, more than the bgv6, it doesn’t have that angular bar. 16oz for sparring and I bought a Lace and Loop for these beauties. Love this brand and I’m 100% a boxing guy. I don’t care much about thai, but they do make top tier products, and it works fine on training… greeting! Nice video btw
The bgv6 is my fav, I had one pair that I used for 8 years! They stink but held up well. Was using them between 3 and 6 days per week. No issues with the velcro. 👍
there is a reason people use multiple gloves for training , cant keep dumping sweat into something daily that cant be washed thats disgusting bro , the stink literally means mold and bacteria . lol at least air out the poor gloves after use lol
I just got the bgv 19 loved the amount of padding but hand compartment was too small bgv1 fits but not enough padding. How do these two compare to bgv19?
I bought BGV-6 2 months ago and i dont recommend it, glove is too wide, wrist support doesnt exist on these gloves(if you wear them without handwraps its just a matter of time until you get injured) and you cant make perfect fist in this gloves, only positive thing about Fairtex gloves overall is that quality is perfect, stiching, velcro, leather everthing very very good and they will for sure last atleast 3 years of intensive training. So in terms of Comfort, Fairtex gloves are absolute shit, (bgv5-6-9 they are all same designs, difference is minimal) But in terms of quality you wont find anything better than Fairtex in price range from 80€ - 120€
What about the knuckle area? I'm thinking of getting these yellow Fairtex 16oz BG6 but I have big hands. I kinda like that vintage style of these but I'm not sure. I just like their style and that bright yellow color. It reminds me of fighters from the 70's. The other option I had was a 18oz Cleto Reyes but suddenly they're now in almost 200 dollars.
Wanna comfort? Go to Zumba, pal. And why in the entire F would your genius @ss wear the gloves without the hand wraps? Damn, kid, just shut up and erase this comment already.
I would say if you have long fingers you will struggle to make a good fist in bgv5/6 glove. I have shortish to medium length fingers for a 6ft dude and i can just make a perfect fist in the 14oz, just. 14oz and 16oz have the same hand compartment in bgv5/6 when i tried them on and as fairtex sizing on their site. These gloves are much better comfort and fit when used with wraps or gel wraps too just fyi
able compare the fairtex bgv9 vs the fairtex bgv6? which would you recommend if i'm a punch heavy kickboxing student at 81kg? my height is 5'6" if it matters.
i heard and read that the bgv6 is better for sparring because of a softer knuckle compartment than the bgv9. Also there is a tiny bit more room for thumb movement in the 6. The bgv9 are better for bag/pad work and are considered a mexican style glove. Either one is really good and it really just comes down to preference or style in my opinion
Tell me bro, a child of 13 years old, is BGV6 suitable for sparring? or will they be soft and harsh for the opponent's head? they say if soft bandages should be added with additional dense stuffing .. is that so? be healthy brother
There is always risk attached to sparring. For legal reasons I will say "Go to the Fairtex website and read there descriptions and recommendations". I will say the BGV6 is a awesome glove and it's always wise to wrap a pad into your hand wrap.
I have bgv5 and tried on bgv6 recently and i would not get bgv6 if you need wrist support. the angle strap doest grip anywhere near as good as bgv5. The bgv5 wrist support with wide cuff is very solid.

Great review man, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
the velcro is cut on the bgv6 to prevent cuts
Very interesting 👌
Thanks dude!💪👊😎

How is the padding on the knuckles on the 5 and 6 compared to Bgv1? I want something in beteeen the Bgv1 and bgv9. Bgv1 is too soft. Bgv9 is hard

Отличные перчатки для спаррингов !
Занимаюсь боксом с 1994 года,было много перчаток и эти пожалуй самые лучшие!!! Мой вес 90 кг.
Which one? The bgv9? Or the bgv6?

Can you please tell me the difference between BG v6 and BG v9? I'm trying to decide between these two at the moment.

Our price tag and string doesn't register any weight at all
Great piont we weighed 4 price tags and strings and they only weighed in at 0.10oz
Broke my wrist years ago and I still feel some pain, do you think the bgv6 offers the best wrist protection or is there a superior alternative?
