Hometown of Brandon Ingram, Jerry Stackhouse, Reggie Bullock, and a half-dozen other retired NBA players. Not bad for a town with less than 20k people.
I had my first job at Caswell in Kinston. Bought my first house. Got married. Had my baby. In the 1980's. Went back this past week and cried and cried for poor Kinston. I love this little town but it was SO sad to see what happened to it.
I was born in Kinston in 64. My parents left in 69. They were looking for a better life. London didn’t have anything and still doesn’t have anything to offer. So glad that they made the change. It looks worst than I remember. God help Kinston
