This is easily my favorite intro to any Slipknot album! I mean it's a legit song I think and I would totally go out of my way to listen to just Prelude 3.0 in the past. I just really like it's ups and downs and the guitars on it. It also sounded a bit more mature (?) I guess and of course very different to the intros on the 2 albums prior to this. I know it might be down the road quite a bit now that you heard The Blister Exists twice already but the Live version @ Big Day Out 2005 or @ Kimmel are definitely worth it and I prefer this songs Live versions generally 🤘
Not many people know this but 'Prelude 3.0' was considered for the theme tune of the new series of the BBC's Doctor Who TV series as one was being made around the time of the Vol.3 album's release. I assume it would have been a different version of it, shorter and without vocals.
I hope they add those weird and crazy sounds in the new slipknot album!!!!

I'm not sure if Vol. 3 is considered underrated or not, but I like it.
I think it is, as I consider it their best album, but most of their hardcore fans would disagree.

Before even watching the video I can tell you... as a middleschool kid, this album was slightly disappointing because I wanted Iowa again. But there's no denying it's staying power. Specifically Duality and Blister exists, my friends and I would drum those parts on desks, electrical boxes, cartoons, whatever and everyone immediately knew and joined in.
Now almost 20 years later I can really appreciate the experimentation they were doing. I appreciate the album and listen pretty often. It's definitely a turning point in their career but obviously their choice served them well.
Slipknot fuckin rocks. Next show thru town I'll be there.
