Really surprises me to hear deadmau5's opinion on the playability of this bassline. As a bassist for over 12 years this riff is nowhere impossible. Try watching bass players like Victor Wooten, Marcus Miller and Richard Bona...you'll be amazed.

@@AB21 Davie is def not one of the best bass players.. Even the Fivrr Bass Pro he features is better than him.. Charles Berthoud.. Davie is a great bassist, no doubt, but he's actually not that great of a musician overall. In terms of his ability to read music and playing with bands, he struggles. This is because he is not classically trained like Charles and many others. I would really like to see Davie expand more and become more versatile. i want to see him play with some really good bands that challenge him. Im not trying to take anything away from Davie and his skills on bass, as he is a great player. He's just not one of the best or anywhere near the best.
I just realized why it was impossible, because I think sparkee was using a slap bass sample with higher frequencies cut out. And the higher frequencies were brought back later in the remix. Or I could be completely wrong.
