It wasn’t trophy less. We won the Community Shield. Even though we finished second last season it gave us the chance of winning a trophy as City did the double. If City do it again this year, we will have another chance of winning a trophy at the start of the season. I know it‘a the worst trophy to win; bar the Papa John’s trophy, but it’s still silverware and finishing second hasn’t been a failure as it give us a 50/50 game to win the Community Sheila once more.

You need to stop being a hater, and do something with your own life.
Arteta has made huge progress and what you get with Arsenal is a proper footballing style; the culture and the boardroom is on the same page as well. The issue all teams have is Pep at Man City. Under him they are just so hard to beat. As United fan i would at this stage forgo winning a trophy to at least have a proper style and culture with struture at the top and stability competing at the top end. Thats what Fergie strove for in the initial years and then the floodgates open.
If we are talking about winning a trophy, Arsenal hasnt gone trophyless because they won the Community shield and last I checked that is the English version of the Spanish Super Cup, Italian Supa Copa and is included in the trophy count of Utd,Liverpool,and every other PL club.
In fact both the Community Shield and the Carabao cup are rated as minor trophies.
However, when its about proper football analysis and not petty low-brained banter, the trophies that truly matter are the PL title and the UCL.
No serious big club starts a season with their target for the saeason to win a Carabao cup even if they finish 12th in the PL.
Mate, focus on your own team.

The problem with such an ultimatum is that Arsenal will be in 4 competitions but big underdogs in the two biggest ones. Realistically, only the two domestic cups provide Arsenal with a chance at a trophy.
