Ahh! Just finished work (yes, it's 2:35am here in the UK - I'm a bartender)! What a treat to come home to. Always enjoy these :) I actually met KP at a book signing once. I asked him how his day was going and he replied "Yeah..." and didn't make eye contact. The book he signed for me is honestly r one of my most prized possessions and his handwriting is surprisingly fancy haha.

Karl is the whole basis of the thow, and the reason they decided to do it, its just called the ricky gervais show because the conversations were taken from the ricky gervais xfm radio show in the early millennium, when karl was just the producer who was given to Ricky and Steve after the office made it big. He would jist press the buttons, and one day they asked him a question, and the answer he gave, kicked off Ricky's fascination with his mind and his perfectly round head.

There's no way in hell The Ricky Gervais show would have been even 1% as funny without Karl, but then you have to give credit where credit is due. Without those two coaxing this stuff out and reacting to it with their razor sharp wit, it wouldn't have worked either.

This show surprisingly wasn’t too popular, he was on XFM with these two for basically the same thing (a radio show). You should definitely watch an idiot abroad if you haven’t, that’s where he became most known
Pretty sure the voice over at the start is Colin McFarlane, he's in batman among many other things.
You wouldn't believe how much stuff there is on here of Ricky Steve & Karl, there are some amazing compilations of their XFM radio days. "Educating Ricky" was a feature Karl did where every week, he'd bring in three interesting things to tell them about. Then there's "Rockbusters" where he came in with three cryptic clues and the initials of a music artist that people had to guess, there's Monkey News, Karl's Diary, There's a funny compilation of all the times Steve & Karl argued on air with Karl saying he looks odd and making fun of his eyes, one of all the times Karl said something offensive on air (complaining about wheelchair tennis because they can't get a rally going - "give them a game of swingball") Then there's the "guide to" episodes... There was a bit live on air where they were trying to break a world record by stuffing burgers into Karl's mouth. So much gold to be found.

It always fascinates me when he gets concerned about the size of heaven not being able to fit all of human history. It shows, in such a tangible form, the limits of his imagination. He's simply unable to imagine an unlimited amount of space without the need to travel across it, or any other earthly problem. Conceptually, the idea of heaven solves all of those problems by definition. But he can't make that logical leap. Not knocking him, just always interests me.
Well he can't comprehend the idea of infinaty or how evolution works so it's par for the course.

Heart stops ''fuuck i broke it''. I go out of full screen, realise it's your video. ''Phew, that scared me''. Goes fullscreen, notices a black dot on your mic. Thinking it was another flying ant I proceed with murder. It wasn't an ant, was just a screwhole on the mic.

They did loads of episodes of the xfm show without Karl, because he was often on holiday haha, and the first series of the show was mostly Ricky and Steve anyway, I think they were still funny to be fair, but of course Karl was always the best thing about it.

We don't say pub even if it's an Irish bar (a genre of bars over here, no English bars tho 🤔 the other big genre is sports bar. But theres also the ever present seedy bars) we usually say let's have drinks or do you want to go for a drink. And where we drink is split between bars, restaurants, and clubs.
