- BJP's Madhavi Latha, candidate from Hyderabad, stirred a controversy after a video showed her asking burqa-clad Muslim women at a polling booth to reveal their faces so that she can match them with the photographs on their voter ID cards. Whats wrong? She has the right to see if there are fake votes being casted. Hijab Is a barrier in that process. Same applies to ghunghat limited to UP and parts of North India not pan india but this pampering is seen only with Muslims.
What's wrong is that it is the duty of first polling officer to verify the identity of voters, not the candidate themself.
For voting proper identification is very very important,for electing the right person lawfully.
@@siddharth16592 she is well within her rights. She is herself standing in the elections. In many er cases the polling officer of muslim rich areas were found to be involved in counterfeit voting. Hence found a discrepancy Madhvi Latha can complain about to to EC and then further actions can be taken. Under no article has she been barred to do that under the constitution or IPC. Or EC code of conduct.
So,It means Voter Id ,Adhar Card and name is not enough,
You have to only check voter ID and Name.

Hyderabad had like 5.5 lakh bogus voters( people who don't even have an address or citizenship giving votes) she exposed this and still there are more to come. She's a minister of bjp from this constituency and asked female police officers to do this job (it should have been done by EC but wasn't) so she took it upon herself to do this job and still people will comment who gave her authority to do this
